Already with the introduction of the latest model of high-speed train. The <strong>Deutsche Bahn will run 50 ICE4 trains in 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ICE 4 offers greater comfort than current ICEs. <strong>Depending on the version, it can carry between 444 and 830 passengers.<\/strong> A very high-capacity version, the ICE 4-XXL, will also enter service next June on the Hamburg-Frankfurt-Basel-Zurich route and in September on the North Rhine-Munich route. This version will carry up to 918 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>All ICE 4 trains offer more luggage space, \"daylight\" lighting and high-speed internet access. A new, more efficient on-board information system is continually updated.<\/p>\n<p>Among the new additions to the network, DB will provide services every half-hour <strong>Berlin-Hamburg<\/strong>. This means 60 high-speed trains a day between the two cities, with a capacity of 6,000 extra seats.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">More trains from Berlin<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>There will also be increased density on the <strong>Berlin-Hanover-Cologne-Bonn<\/strong> with 14 ICE 4 trains per day, i.e. 17% more capacity than the current timetable. The line <strong>Murich-Zurich<\/strong> will now be served 12 times a day. The journey time will be cut from 4 hours 45 minutes to just four hours. DB has already announced that this journey time will be further reduced to just 3.5 hours by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Other new features include an increase in the number of daily ICE services between <strong>Hamburg and Munich<\/strong> as well as the launch of a direct line from <strong>Berlin to Wroclaw and Krakow <\/strong>in Poland.<\/p>\n<p>The new 2020\/2021 timetable can be booked in branches or online from 13 October.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Deutsche Bahn has unveiled its new 2021 timetable, which comes into force on 13 December.
