The shower on board the Airbus A380 in First Class is probably the airline's most emblematic service detail. Emirates<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both the shower and the in-flight lounge are back on the A380 and B777, with a redesigned in-flight experience incorporating reinforced hygiene instructions.<\/strong> While taking a long-haul flight is becoming more and more like a real constraint, with passengers having to wear a mask for several hours, interaction with staff reduced to a minimum and service often reduced to a minimum, Emirates wants to prove that it still offers an exceptional service.<\/p>\n

The A380 in-flight lounge<\/strong>The lounge, which used to be a meeting place for First and Business Class passengers, is back. It has, of course, lost its function as a meeting place for a drink. In the new covid world, the bar offers takeaway snacks as well as a choice of wines, spirits and soft drinks.<\/p>\n

Standardisation of the on-board catering service<\/span><\/h2>\n

However, the bar offers a limited number of seats due to the social distance in place. Customers can also place their orders from their seat if they wish. The bars in business class on certain Boeing 777s and in first class have also reopened, with customers able to take snacks and drinks to their seat.<\/p>\n

The shower is back in first class on the A380. Luxury spa products are supplied to each customer in individual bags, while disposable towels are offered in sealed and disinfected bags.<\/p>\n

From 1 November, Emirates will resume an in-flight catering service more in line with its traditional quality standards<\/strong>. All passengers will enjoy multi-course meals and choose from a free selection of beverages, including wine and beer. The airline will also offer cocktails in premium classes. A welcome vegan drink in premium classes, 'Vitality Boost', will help passengers boost their immune system.<\/p>\n

The Emirates application will now allow travellers to choose their dishes from a menu<\/strong> from their mobile phones or tablets.<\/p>\n

Emirates in-flight entertainment and ice cream are once again part of the in-flight experience.<\/p>\n

Hygiene kits and insurance for all<\/span><\/h2>\n

The carrier is also distributing hygiene kits to all its passengers<\/strong> containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.<\/p>\n

In transit at Dubai airport<\/strong>, lPremium passengers once again have access to the lounge with reinforced hygiene protocols<\/strong>. The company applies a special traffic itinerary, offers food ordering on its app in First Class and self-service in Business Class, as well as sealed and disinfected bath accessories for the showers.<\/p>\n

Finally Emirates offers covid-19 insurance until 31 December<\/strong>. This is valid for 31 days after the flight and covers the costs incurred in the destination country for passengers who test positive for covid on arrival.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
