The association explained its failure not only by the economic impact of Covid-19, but also by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hong-kong-loi-securitaire-business-20200710.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">political situation in Hong Kong<\/a>Both issues led to the cancellation of conferences traditionally organised by ACTE. In the end, the association's assets found a buyer: its main 'rival', <strong>GBTA<\/strong>announced on 24 November that it had completed the transaction. \" <em>We are more than delighted to bring GBTA and ACTE together, creating a single home for the thousands of business travel professionals who, together, will make business travel bigger and better than ever.<\/em> \"says Bhart Sarin, President of GBTA, who says he is \"very proud of our work. <em>eager to create the world's best association for travel professionals to learn, network and grow<\/em> \".<\/p>\n<p>The merger of the two business travel associations is already reflected in the organisation chart. Two former ACTE board members have already joined the GBTA board. What remains to be done, however, is to define how best to exploit the synergies between the two structures: a task that will fall to the committee headed by Christle Johnson and Greeley Koch,
