Obviously, this snapshot of business travel bears little resemblance to the previous studies published by Expensa in the 'world before', and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hotellerie-deuxieme-vague-fermetures-20201113.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hotels<\/a><\/strong> is, of course, one of the big losers in 2020. Usually at the top of the expenditure list, accommodation has fallen to last place. This year, hotels account for 11.85% of the budget and 4.46% of invoices, compared with 17% of expenditure in 2019 and 4.46% of invoices.<\/p>\n<p>In the<strong>aerial<\/strong>There has also been a clear downward trend: <em>\"The number of charges relating to air transport has risen sharply in recent years. <strong>significant drop<\/strong> in 2020: this is due to travel restrictions imposed by over 200 countries to limit the spread of the coronavirus<\/em> \"The authors of the barometer point out. Travel by car has even risen to second place in the expenditure category, still dominated by the car. <strong>meal costs<\/strong> - representing 42% of the invoices analysed. The Expensya barometer highlights that the total amount spent on mileage expenses has doubled, with the number of transactions also on the rise (+24.52%). Tolls (+2%), parking and fuel costs (+5%) confirm the use of the car. \" <em>It seems that with the coronavirus crisis and public transport limited in some areas, French professionals are using their own vehicles to get around.<\/em> \"the authors of the report. Conversely, other modes of land transport have been neglected, in particular the <strong>train<\/strong> which falls to last place in this expense category, or the <strong>public transport<\/strong> which fell both in terms of total amount (-4.5%) and number of invoices (-6.38%).<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the other lesson to be learned from the Expensya barometer does not concern the mobility of professionals, but rather their sedentary lifestyle... In fact, the report seems to confirm the investments made by companies to implement teleworking. Service and utility costs\" accounted for 12.78% of the total amount spent, mainly benefiting La Poste, Orange and Free. Next came the \"equipment\" category (12%), driven by Amazon, Leroy Merlin and FNAC. \" <em>We have seen an increase in the cost of services, utilities and equipment purchases. This upward trend is certainly due to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mesures-sanitaires-paris-congres-20201009.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>widespread use of teleworking<\/strong> <\/a>in several companies, even after the initial confinement had been lifted. In order to deal with this period as effectively as possible, employees have prepared themselves to be able to carry out their professional activities from home, by adapting their workspace, acquiring equipment and developing effective means of remote communication.
