While the <strong>France<\/strong> has decided to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mobilite-15-decembre-20201210.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">relax some of the rules governing its confinement<\/a>However, its European neighbours are moving in the opposite direction. For example, the German population is now only allowed to go out for essential purposes, such as essential purchases, medical check-ups or visits to the doctor.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>borders with France remain open<\/strong>This will allow visitors to travel to Germany without a pre-test. On condition, however, that they do not stay for more than 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>For travellers with a <strong>negative PCR test<\/strong> who wish to stay in Germany, a <strong>five-day quarantine is mandatory<\/strong>. It should be noted that many L\u00e4nder have ordered the closure of hotel establishments.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Austria<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Austria only authorises nationals with a negative PCR test carried out less than 72 hours previously if they come from a country with more than 100 cases of covid per 100,000 inhabitants. This applies, for example, to <strong>France<\/strong> which had an incidence rate of 123.1 on 18 December. <strong>Travellers must be quarantined and undergo a second PCR test within 48 hours.<\/strong>. If the test is negative, the quarantine is lifted. If not, it is extended for 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>Hotels are now only open to travellers on business trips. <strong>business reason<\/strong> until further notice. A <strong>Curfew is also in force from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.<\/strong>. From 26 December, a reinforced containment system will be put in place, with shops closed and exits restricted until 23 January.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Benelux<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <strong>Belgium<\/strong>new measures are in force until <strong>15 January<\/strong>. They restrict commercial activities in the country: caf\u00e9s and restaurants remain closed, while non-essential shops are open under strict conditions (customers must do their shopping alone within 30 minutes). <strong>hotels<\/strong> and guest rooms.<\/p>\n<p>The government of <strong>Wallonia<\/strong> Region and the <strong>Brussels<\/strong> have introduced a <strong>Curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.<\/strong>. At <strong>Flanders<\/strong>this <strong>Curfew in force from midnight to 5 a.m.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Travellers entering Belgium must complete <strong>an electronic Passenger Locator Form within 48 hours of arrival<\/strong>. Cross-border commuters are exempt if they stay for less than 48 hours.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of 2021, a new PLF system will be introduced, distinguishing between business and private travel. The <strong>business travellers with an employer's certificate will no longer have to be quarantined<\/strong> if their PLF shows no risk behaviour. All other travellers must continue to observe the quarantine.<\/p>\n<p>Le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/luxembourg-energie-creatrice-20201029.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Luxembourg<\/strong> <\/a>has the least restrictive measures of any EU country. No negative test is required. However, the country has tightened its travel restrictions. A <strong>Curfew is in force between 11pm and 6am. However, it will be reduced to 9pm from 26 December to 10 January. <\/strong>Non-essential shops will not be able to open during this period.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>Netherlands<\/strong>the government has decided to introduce a <strong>very strict confinement<\/strong>the <strong>15 December to 19 January<\/strong>. Non-essential businesses have closed their doors and residents are being asked not to book travel until March.<\/p>\n<p>A <strong>10-day quarantine is mandatory<\/strong> for travellers arriving from red or orange zones (such as France). <strong>However, certain essential trips to the Netherlands are permitted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_103419\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-103419\" style=\"width: 395px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/kehl-17-decembre.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-103419\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/kehl-17-decembre.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"395\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/kehl-17-decembre.jpg 395w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/kehl-17-decembre-300x185-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 395px) 100vw, 395px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-103419\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Germany is now on a strict lockdown, with all non-essential shops closed. Here, Kehl city centre on 17 December (Photo: LC)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Spain<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If there is no<strong> quarantined on entry to the country, any traveller <\/strong><strong>wishing to travel to Spain by air must complete a personal and non-transferable Health Control Form (FCS).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once this form has been completed and signed, the <strong>passengers receive a QR code associated with their journey<\/strong> which they must keep on their mobile phone or print out in order to pass the airport health check. Travellers must produce a <strong>negative PCR test less than 72 hours old<\/strong> to enter Spain.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the country, a curfew is in force between 8pm and 6am. Places open to the public are closed until 7 January.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From 23 December to 6 January, <\/strong>all regions are limiting <strong>travel between regions<\/strong> except for essential reasons.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Italy<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Visit <strong>Italy<\/strong>it is <strong>forbidden to travel between regions until 6 January.\u00a0<\/strong> Many regions are once again under confinement.<\/p>\n<p>After easing restrictions at the end of November, the government has decided to tighten certain measures in response to the pandemic. Restaurants and bars are closing at 6pm, and shopping centres are now closed at weekends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>With the epidemic continuing unabated, even stricter measures are being applied from 21 December to 6 January<\/strong>. All non-essential shops will have to close, and residents will only be allowed to go out once a day.<\/p>\n<p>Foreign travellers arriving in Italy must present the negative result of a molecular (PCR) or antigenic test less than 48 hours old. Travellers who are unable to present this document must undergo a quarantine in Italy. However, for the period from 21 December to 6 January, the <strong>travellers from France<\/strong> coming to Italy between 21 December and 6 January will be subject to a 14-day on-site check,\u00a0<strong>even with a negative test<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Portugal<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Travellers from countries in the Schengen area benefit from a <strong>liberal regime<\/strong> to Portugal. Travellers are not required to undergo a COVID-19 test, nor are they obliged to observe a four-week period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, they must download a <a class=\"spip_out\" title=\"external link\" href=\"https:\/\/pt.ambafrance.org\/IMG\/pdf\/cartao_de_localizacao_de_passageiro_-_portugal-passenger-locator-card_1_-2.pdf?8279\/4f32a97636c0d1d94b4a42a89c4eb9d3c3a7b852\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"external noopener noreferrer nofollow\">form<\/a> location<\/strong> required by the health authorities. Stricter semi-containment measures have been applied since November.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Switzerland<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Switzerland has tightened its rules, which were still relatively flexible compared with other countries. At federal level, the government has decided to close the <strong>restaurants and bars, with shops remaining open at reduced capacity<\/strong>. During the <strong>museums, libraries, non-essential shops and markets must remain closed at weekends<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, because of its federal structure, some cantons apply stricter measures. In the <strong>Valais<\/strong>Museums and cinemas are also closed.<\/p>\n<p>For French nationals wishing to travel to Switzerland, <strong>a 10-day quarantine remains mandatory<\/strong> except for cross-border commuters working in the country.<\/p>\n<div class=\"css-uf6wea-RichTextComponentWrapper e1xue1i83\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"css-83cqas-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi2\">\n<p>As the Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, said when he announced the reconfinement in his country, only the vaccine will bring a glimmer of hope and an end to the restrictions in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>(Updated on 22 December)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The second wave of covid is forcing the whole of Europe into massive reconfinement at the end of the year.
