The ban was imposed in March 2020 by an executive order issued by former President Donald Trump. He had in fact talked about reopening the country's borders to visitors from certain countries and regions, including the European Union and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, Donald Trump's announcement had an electoral purpose<\/strong>These are aimed in particular at the aeronautics, transport and hotel lobbies.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Joe Biden cancels Donald Trump's reopening promises<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>A few days before he left the White House, Donald Trump signed an executive order lifting the restrictions in place. <strong>This lifting<\/strong>scheduled for 26 January, was immediately <strong>cancelled by the incoming administration of President Joe Biden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the cancellation of the decree was accompanied by restrictive measures previously signed by the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the body responsible for managing covid-19 in the United States.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/usa-test-negatif-voyageurs-20210113.html\/\"><strong>Current regulations require all air travellers to present a negative screening test.<\/strong> <\/a>or proof of covid-19 cure to enter the United States. <strong>It must be carried out less than 72 hours before entering the United States.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration's innovations include two other regulations: <strong>another test (antigenic) just before taking the plane<\/strong> and a <strong>mandatory quarantine<\/strong> even if the test is negative. These two rules do not yet apply officially, as they have to go through various validation stages.<\/p>\n<p>So no one yet knows how long the compulsory quarantine will last. The agencies are therefore working on <strong>means of verification<\/strong> that travellers comply with the quarantine. President Biden has asked those involved to make <strong>their conclusions within 14 days<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At home, Joe Biden is now imposing the <strong>wearing a mask for all types of transport<\/strong>. This applies not only to air travel, but also to rail and public transport. Masks are also compulsory in federal buildings.<\/p>\n<p>These measures may be restrictive, but they also have a more optimistic side for future visitors. They foreshadow <strong>the reopening of the country's borders to foreign travellers in a more orderly and predictable manner<\/strong>.
