The hotel industry had already seen designer hotels such as Armani, Missoni and Versace, as well as hotels under prestigious names such as Bulgari<\/a>, Fauchon<\/a> or Cheval Blanc<\/a>and even more general public such as Muji<\/a>Deco-style hotels with Maisons du Monde<\/a> or IKEA. Visit the very first hotel-cinema<\/strong> ! The mk2 cinema group has just announced the opening of Hotel Paradiso in March.<\/p>\n

Located on boulevard Diderot, this 34-room and 2-suite establishment comes in the extension of the mk2 Nation cinema<\/strong> and will offer a unique experience designed by Nathana\u00ebl and Elisha Karmitz, the two brothers who run mk2. Also creators of the Paradiso brand, they intend to reinvent the \"cinema experience\", for example by transforming the square courtyard of the Louvre museum during the Cinema Paradiso festival. \" To come to Hotel Paradiso is to enter the living world of cinema, to experience a unique place in the world where cinema is an art of living.<\/em> \"said Nathana\u00ebl and Elisha Karmitz.<\/p>\n

In fact, each of the 34 rooms is transformed into a private cinema room, with the window transforming into a 3-metre wide projection screen<\/strong>. As for the two suites, they have their own private screening rooms to discover the latest films in theatres or a curation of films proposed by mk2. Guests also have unlimited access to the best VOD platforms, not to mention a partnership with PlayStation to equip rooms with PS5 consoles.<\/p>\n

\" As you enter the room, the window is transformed from a point of escape to the outside world into a projection window for your imagination. The space is decorated to the bare essentials, allowing the film to invade and shape it with its own phantasmagoria.<\/em> \"commented Alix Thomsen, the hotel's interior designer. To design the boutique hotel, the Karmitz brothers surrounded themselves with a artist-friends collective<\/strong>These include JR and Christian Boltanski, architects Daniel Vaniche and Paula Castro, artistic director Sarah Kahn, lighting designer Philippe Collet, musician Woodkid and stylist Alexandre Mattiussi.<\/p>\n

The cinema experience is not limited to the intimacy of the rooms, as it extends to the roof terrace thanks to a open-air cinema<\/strong> with a bar and views over the rooftops of Paris, all enlivened by a programme of themed events throughout the year. H\u00f4tel Paradiso will also offer a caf\u00e9 with terrace featuring a gourmet seasonal menu designed by Bob's Juice Bar, a karaoke room, a cinema lodge and event and coworking spaces.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
