This is the<strong>Strategic alliance between American Airlines and JetBlue<\/strong> which was announced at the beginning of January. An alliance which, according to<strong>American<\/strong> and<strong> JetBlue<\/strong>will enable them to accelerate their financial and operational recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two carriers are launching the <strong>first phase of their partnership, with 33 new routes and code-sharing on nearly 80 others departing from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/new-york-perpetuelle-metamorphose-20180704.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/boston-lavenir-dune-tradition-20160701.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boston<\/a><\/strong>. For the moment, these are domestic point-to-point lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a press release, Scott Laurence, Jet Blue's head of planning and revenue, explained: \"\u00a0<em>Thanks to this alliance, we are closer to offering passengers more competition in the North East. It will compete with routes currently served by a single airline with high fares and poor service.<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/american-airlines-jetblue-new-york-20230502.html\/\" data-id=\"147789\">American Airlines and JetBlue strengthen their presence in New York<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-le-retour-du-hub-intercontinental-new-york\"><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">The return of the New York intercontinental hub<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Above all, the two companies will <strong>strengthen their Boston and New York hubs<\/strong>. Hence the announcement of the opening of these <strong>33 new lines<\/strong> in the first phase of the Northeast Alliance. An upsurge that American's Chief Revenue Officer, Vasu Raja, describes as \"\u00a0<em>the first step towards providing the best customer offering with the largest network in New York and Boston<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>Thanks to this alliance, we are closer to offering passengers more competition in the North East.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>American has just announced that on 6 May it will be inaugurating <strong>18 new routes<\/strong>. <strong>Six involve international flights to the Caribbean and South America<\/strong>. From New York JFK, it will offer daily flights to Cali, Bogota and Medellin in Colombia on Airbus A319s. The airline will launch three frequencies a week to Santiago de Chile using Boeing 777-200s. This route should become daily in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On 5 June, American will also launch two routes with a weekly flight to Saint Lucia (UVF) and the Turks and Caicos Islands. It will also follow the launch of <strong>on 2 June of a seasonal American service between New York JFK and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/athenes-crise-et-redressement-20190506.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Athens<\/a><\/strong>. The flight will be operated daily by Boeing 777-200 until the end of October. <strong>For its part, JetBlue has confirmed its arrival in London this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>Customers who appreciate the JetBlue experience can expect significant growth at LaGuardia. There will also be up to 70 daily flights to Newark.
