Le 18th March<\/strong>, Austrian Airlines launches its new catering concept<\/strong>called \"\u00a0Austrian Melangerie \"<\/strong>. A term that may sound strange to French speakers, but is in fact based on \"Wiener Melange\", a traditional caf\u00e9 au lait served in Vienna.<\/p>\n

The Austrian carrier has decided to change your on-board service<\/strong> on flights from less than three hours in economy class<\/strong>. Gone are the free snacks, and the on-board service is now in line with the competition. low-cost<\/strong>. However, the menus remain of the highest quality. Austrian continues to place its trust in Austrian caterer Do&Co<\/strong>. It is renowned for its creativity and the excellence of its menus.<\/p>\n

Economy class passengers can choose from traditional Austrian dishes such as apple strudel, Viennese schnitzel or bread with chives. All accompanied by a \"Wiener Melange\", a \"g'spritzt\" (apple juice with sparkling water) or a glass of Austrian wine.<\/p>\n

No change on flights of more than three hours and in business class<\/span><\/h2>\n

This new catering concept is available on all flights lasting between 55 minutes and three hours.<\/strong>. As well as the fresh food supplied by the Do&Co catering company, Austrian has selected the luxury grocer Julius Meinl for the coffee and tea.<\/p>\n

For flights of up to 1 hour 20 minutes, the offer is limited to snacks and small dishes. After 85 minutes, full hot meals are available.<\/strong>s.<\/p>\n

Snacks start at two euros, drinks at three euros and dishes at nine euros. For example, a cheese loaf with chives will sell for five euros, a goulash with kn\u00f6del for nine euros and a strudel with black coffee for 9.50 euros. The airline will continue to offer a high-quality free service in business class<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, Austrian is being magnanimous with its economy class passengers. In fact, it promises to always offer a glass of water<\/strong> at the request of passengers - probably an obligation on flights within the European Union.
