These are the three geographical areas that benefit most from the new summer lines on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroport-marseille-croissance-20200117.html\/\"><strong>Marseille-Provence international airport<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In North Africa, the first airline to inaugurate new routes is <strong>Air Arabia Maroc<\/strong>. The low-cost carrier is now offering flights on <strong>Fez <\/strong>and <strong>Oujda<\/strong>. Marseille-Fez is served every Monday, Thursday and Sunday; Marseille-Oujda every Monday and Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>More good news for the airport. The low-cost <strong>Volotea<\/strong> is setting up a base in Algeria from 16 September. The airline will offer up to two flights a day to six cities. <strong>Oran<\/strong> will be served by four weekly flights, <strong>Annaba, B\u00e9ja\u00efa, Constantine, S\u00e9tif and Tlemcen<\/strong> with two weekly flights each. Finally, from July, <strong>Ryanair<\/strong> will offer two flights a week to <strong>Essaouira <\/strong>and <strong>Tetouan<\/strong> in Morocco.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #a71f31\">Ryanair confirms its pre-eminence at Marseille<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Towards the Indian Ocean, competition is intensifying with the arrival of <strong>Corsair<\/strong>. From 21 June, the carrier will be launching <strong>two flights a week (Monday and Wednesday) from Lyon to Saint-Denis de la R\u00e9union via Marseille<\/strong>. The carrier offers fast connections on <strong>Mayotte<\/strong> on arrival at La R\u00e9union. The flights will be operated by the latest-generation Airbus A330-900 NEO.<\/p>\n<p>Services to the departments of the Indian Ocean are also being strengthened with a new seasonal route operated by the airline <strong>Air Austral<\/strong>. It will offer <strong>between June and September, flights every Thursday and Sunday from Marseille to Mayotte<\/strong>. The flights are operated by Boeing 787-800 Dreamliners.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, in the Mediterranean basin, the carrier <strong>Ryanair<\/strong> is strengthening its offer with routes on <strong>Alghero, Bari, Corfu, Menorca and Rhodes<\/strong> from July. There will be two flights a week to each destination.<\/p>\n<p>These openings confirm the carrier's irresistible growth in Marseille. The Provencal metropolis is in fact <strong>the largest base in France<\/strong> for Ryanair. <strong>The airline is stationing four aircraft there to fly to 49 destinations.<\/strong>. This includes the resumption of a dozen routes suspended in summer 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Will there be a recovery in 2021? Marseille-Provence International Airport welcomed <strong>3.4 million passengers<\/strong> last year, <strong>66% lower than in 2019<\/strong>. This was an impressive fall, especially as the airport had reached <strong>ten million passengers<\/strong> for the first time in its history in
