It was also the airport - outside Paris - with the highest number of long-haul flights. The airport now hopes to quickly regain this status. Visit <strong>2021 summer programme<\/strong> seems to support this <strong>recovery strategy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>11 new routes added to summer flight schedule<\/strong>. These include two new destinations, Menorca and Southampton. In total, more than 1,000 weekly flights will depart from the hub. This compares with 1,400 flights a week in summer 2019.<\/p>\n<p>La <strong>France<\/strong> should continue to be the main attraction for travellers. It alone represents 18 destinations from Nice.\u00a0<strong>Four new lines<\/strong>\u00a0are even available:\u00a0<strong>Brest and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/nantes-voyage-affaires-20181219.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nantes<\/a>with Transavia, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/lille-euralille-capitale-20201006.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lille<\/a> with Volotea and La Rochelle with easyJet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, 66 destinations to Europe are on the programme. Once again, there are a number of new destinations, including <strong>Wizz Air to Chisinau<\/strong>\u00a0(in Moldova). Services to the UK are being expanded with\u00a0<strong>Air France on London-Heathrow<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>British Airways to Southampton<\/strong>. Finally,\u00a0<strong>Smartwings<\/strong>\u00a0launches\u00a0<strong>about Prague<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>easyJet to Minorca<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">Return of the intercontinental<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Outside Europe, <strong>Nice airport hopes to get at least two intercontinental routes back soon<\/strong>. The first verse\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/new-york-perpetuelle-metamorphose-20180704.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> with Delta Airlines flights to JFK and La Compagnie to Newark<\/strong>. The recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/union-europeenne-reouverture-americains-20210426.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">decision to re-authorise American travellers to the European Union<\/a> should bolster the return of these two carriers. The second planned opening is that of<strong>Emirates to Dubai<\/strong>Once the restrictions on movement between the EU and the Emirates have been lifted.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Our provisional programme (...) reflects both the continued attractiveness of our region, its economic and cultural dynamism, and the confidence of airlines and passengers in our health policy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><b>Nice would benefit from the intercontinental d<\/b><strong>A total of 12 destinations to seven countries<\/strong>\u00a0 Particularly in the Maghreb, which is benefiting from the opening by Air France of routes to Algiers and Tunis, and to Israel and Turkey.<\/p>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>Our provisional flight schedule for this summer reflects both the continued attractiveness of our region, its economic and cultural dynamism, and the confidence of airlines and passengers in our health policy.
