At the beginning of 2020, Covivio, one of Europe's largest property operators, bought eight hotels and entrusted their management to NH Hotels. While some of these hotels, such as the Carlo IV in Prague and the Palazzo Gaddi in Florence, will be added to the Spanish group's NH Collection, three others will enable Anantara to establish a presence in three cities that are popular for both business and long weekends: <strong>Rome, Budapest and Nice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Expected to open its doors on the C\u00f4te d'Azur in 2022, the luxury brand of Asian origin intends to restore the H\u00f4tel Plaza to its former glory. Its history dates back to the mid-19th century, and its Belle Epoque architecture mimics the Promenade des Anglais and the Albert 1er garden. For <strong>rediscover the chic of yesteryear<\/strong>The hotel has begun its metamorphosis under the aegis of David Collins Studio and will reopen next year after two years of renovation. It will feature 151 rooms and suites, a rooftop bar and restaurant, a spa, seven meeting rooms and a ballroom for up to 300 people.<\/p>\n<p>Before that, Anantara will have converted two other historic locations to its top-of-the-range offering: the 238-room Palazzo Naiadi in Rome, overlooking the Piazza della Repubblica, and the New York Palace in Budapest. Located in Pest, on the eastern bank of the Danube, this eclectic building houses<strong> one of the most beautiful caf\u00e9s in the Hungarian capital, if not the world,<\/strong> the New York Caf\u00e9, frequented by the art scene since the early 1900s.
