It is a German airline Lufthansa marks a turning point in its service policy<\/strong>. The German carrier is definitively putting an end to its image as a \"full service carrier\" by only offeringa paid meal service in economy class<\/strong>. Its subsidiary Austrian Airlines had already shown the way in the spring.<\/p>\n

From now on it will be called \"Onboard Delights<\/strong>. This attractive term in fact refers to the new catering service introduced by Lufthansa from 26 ma<\/strong>i.<\/p>\n

This service is subject to a charge but, according to the airline, will give passengers a wider choice. The service is available on all European flights in economy class<\/strong> from a flight time of 60 minutes<\/strong>. In business class, the free meal service remains unchanged<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Catering in tune with the times<\/span><\/h3>\n

The company has entrusted the new menu to a caterer known for its fresh dishes and salads in Germany: dean&david. The company is in tune with the times, using fresh food from sustainable agriculture and reducing the proportion of meat and fish in its dishes.<\/p>\n

For hot drinks, Lufthansa relies on the Munich-based luxury grocer Dallmayr. Also on the menu is an \"Apfelstreusel\", a German version of apple crumble. Or homemade pralines.<\/p>\n

Prices range from 3.00 euros for a hot drink to a dozen euros for a full menu.<\/strong> with a bottle of water. The restaurant card will change every three months. To facilitate hygiene restrictions, only payment by card will be accepted.<\/p>\n

To help protect the environment, a large proportion of our fresh produce is packaged in PaperWise material. PaperWise is made from agricultural waste and is produced using 100% % renewable energy. It is therefore neutral in terms of CO\u00b2.<\/p>\n

For those who miss the sandwich offered with an old-fashioned Lufthansa coffee, there is a small consolation. A chocolate and a bottle of water are always offered free of charge!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
