As part of its \"Travel with Purpose 2030\" environmental and social strategy, the Hilton Group offers companies and event organisers the opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint of their business meetings with 10 or more participants<\/strong>. To achieve this, the American group has entered into a partnership with the carbon finance consultancy South Pole, which has been involved in decarbonisation since 2006.<\/p>\n

Hilton's own LighStay performance management system will firstly be used to assess the event's carbon footprint and, if necessary, propose measures to reduce waste and energy consumption...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In practice, Hilton's own LighStay performance management system will first of all make it possible to assess the carbon footprint of the event and, where necessary, propose measures to reduce waste and energy consumption during meetings. The remaining environmental impact can then be offset through the purchase of carbon credits.<\/strong> with South Pole. This is free of charge for our corporate clients.<\/p>\n

\"\u00a0Thanks to this initiative, Hilton will help fund a number of sustainable projects<\/strong> one of the most forward-thinking in the world, while reducing its own environmental footprint and that of its customers<\/em>\" says Michael Malara, Head of Business Development at South Pole. Among the projects financed in this way are the maintenance of boreholes in Rwanda to improve access to sources of drinking water, the construction of a geothermal power station in Turkey and the development of wind farms in India and the United States.<\/p>\n
