From 9 June, Europeans who have been fully vaccinated will not have to be vaccinated again. no longer required to present a negative PCR test<\/strong> to enter France. As the date previously set for the reopening of borders approaches, on 4 June the French government set out the arrangements for the flow of travellers between France and foreign countries (https:\/\/www.gouvernement.fr\/voyager-depuis-et-vers-l-etranger-mode-d-emploi<\/a>).<\/p>\n

This ternary strategy distinguishes between countries classified as \"green<\/strong> where the virus circulates very little or where no variants of concern have been identified, i.e. the countries of the European Union, as well as Australia, South Korea, Israel, Japan, Lebanon, New Zealand and Singapore. France also distinguishes orange\" countries - including the United Kingdom and the United States - and<\/strong> where the virus is circulating actively, but not spreading variants of concern.<\/p>\n

And finally.., 16 countries placed on a red list<\/strong> where there is active circulation of the virus and the presence of variants of concern: Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, India, Nepal, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Turkey and Uruguay. The government strongly recommends that you do not travel to these countries except for important family or professional reasons, such as a mission essential to the pursuit of a business activity. Conversely, to travel to France, their nationals will need to show a compelling reason, as well as PCR or antigenic tests dating back less than 48 hours, whether or not they have been vaccinated, and an 7 to 10 day quarantine<\/strong> imposed at the finish.<\/p>\n

Conversely, and in line with this, it will be much easier to travel within the European Union and to\/from other countries classified in green from 9 June. While testing and quarantine requirements may still apply here and there, people who have been fully vaccinated for at least fourteen days in the case of the Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines - and four weeks in the case of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine - will no longer have to present a test on arrival. On the other hand, people who have not been vaccinated must present a PCR or antigen test that is less than 72 hours old<\/strong> on their arrival in France.<\/p>\n

The introduction of the European certificate on 1 July, which includes proof of vaccination, the result of a negative test or the reinstatement of a Covid less than six months old, will make travelling even easier.<\/p>\n
