And this good news is translating into a series of simplifications in the daily lives of Swiss citizens and foreign travellers.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Council has therefore decided to <strong>lift the quarantine requirement for people entering Switzerland from the Schengen area. <\/strong>This measure therefore includes the French regions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A negative test is <strong class=\"caractencadre-spip spip\">compulsory only for travellers arriving by air<\/strong>\u00a0who have not been vaccinated and do not have recovered status<\/strong>. This PCR test must not be valid for more than 72 hours. Contact details are only required for entry by air.<\/p>\n<p>In the interior of the country, life returned to more or less normal on 26 June. <strong>The government has abolished the obligation to wear a mask outdoors<\/strong>. Capacity limits for major events and restaurants have been made much more flexible. This framework will enable the events sector in particular to take off again.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview on 24 June on the RTS television channel, the<strong>he Federal Councillor for Health, Alain Berset<\/strong>indicated that the situation was under better control than at the same time last year.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have vaccination and it's progressing well. At major events, there is normally no risk. <strong>Only people with a certificate will be allowed to meet them as they are not contagious.<\/strong>.
