Present in France since 2011, <strong>Thello has announced that it will cease operating services between Paris, Nice, Milan and Venice from 1 July.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Thello operated <strong>a daily night train service between Paris and Venice<\/strong> via Dijon, Milan, Verona and Venice Santa Lucia. A route that connected the two cities in just over 14 hours. Since 2014, it has also operated <strong>a daytime service linking Marseille to Milan via Nice, Monaco and Genoa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of the first French containment in March 2020, the railway company decided to suspend its operations. <strong>Since February, it had only resumed its daytime service in the South, but only from Nice.<\/strong>. The journey took five hours to Milan.<\/p>\n<p>The Italian rail unions have expressed their disappointment, believing that trains were a practical means of transporting passengers, independent of traffic conditions. <strong>some 600 people a day to the Liguria region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>However, Trenitalia promises that its departure from France is only temporary.<\/strong>. The Italian railway company could return with <strong>its own high-speed trains on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille route from 2022<\/strong>. But also<strong> position itself before the end of the year on the Paris-Milan via Lyon route<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Italian rail operator Thello is withdrawing
