The low-cost airline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/play-nouvelle-future-alternative-vers-les-etats-unis-20210518.html\/\"><strong>PLAY<\/strong><\/a> inaugurated its Paris CDG-Reykjavik route.<\/p>\n<p>The French capital joins a network that includes <strong>London, Tenerife, Berlin and Alicante<\/strong>. On the same day as Paris, the carrier also launched its first flights on <strong>Barcelona<\/strong>. On 21 July, the carrier will also be landing at <strong>Copenhagen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>PLAY ensures <strong>three to four flights a week<\/strong> between Paris and Iceland's capital. Flights are operated in <strong>Single-class Airbus A321neo with 192 seats<\/strong>. The company plans to operate a fleet of six aircraft. This fleet is due to be increased to <strong>ten aircraft within three years<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The company embodies the optimism that pervades the whole of Europe.<strong>Iceland<\/strong> when it comes to the future growth of air transport. The proof is in the pudding: the launch of work in June on the<strong>20,000 m\u00b2 extension to the terminal building<\/strong>. The future expansion will add four additional boarding lounges with new direct aircraft access bridges. The building will also include new shops. <strong>The terminal will eventually be able to handle more than 14 million passengers<\/strong>This number is expected to rise to around 2035\/2040. The country also wants to develop <strong>a high-speed rail link between Keflavik airport and Reykjavik<\/strong>.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new Icelandic low-cost airline PLAY finally landed at Paris CDG on 15 July.
