L'Berlin Brandenburg International airport<\/strong> <\/a>(commonly known as BER) has certainly welcomed this news. Indeed, a partnership has just been signed between the airline Easyjet<\/strong> and the Deutsche Bahn<\/strong>. The aim is to use the airport's underground station to take passengers from BER to several German cities by train<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Reservations can be made using the Worldwide by Easyjet<\/strong> <\/a>a flight and a rail journey. It's as easy as a few clicks. To begin with, 16 major cities are included in the offer<\/strong> including Dresden, Leipzig, Magdeburg, Hamburg and Hanover,...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

However, only the direct connections are likely to be the easiest to use. Like those to Dresden, or the German Baltic coast (Rostock).<\/p>\n

For other destinations, a change will be necessary at Berlin Hauptbahnhof<\/strong>the capital's main railway station. Or to Berlin S\u00fcdkreu<\/strong>z, the station to the south of the capital.<\/p>\n

\"\u00a0We would like to see more direct trains from our station, as this supports a more environmentally-friendly approach to mobility. But the decision is in the hands of Deutsche Bahn.<\/em>\" explained a BER airport spokesperson.<\/p>\n

Eventually, more towns will be linked by direct trains to BER<\/span><\/h3>\n

BER thus becomes the first German airport to be part of a joint venture between Easyjet and Deutsche Bahn<\/strong>. The new booking option is aimed primarily at attracting people living in eastern Germany. That's five million potential passengers...<\/p>\n

According to Stephan Erler, German CEO of Easyjet<\/strong>The new partnership with Deutsche Bahn, in addition to simplified booking via a single platform, offers another advantage: the ability to guarantee rerouting on both carriers in the event of delays<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

However, Easyjet expects this new offer to have a quantitative effect on its traffic from the autumn onwards. The airline hopes to consolidate its Berlin's leading air carrier<\/strong>. It generates 30% of the capital's traffic and already links Berlin to 70 destinations, mainly in Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
