The London show sought to identify the challenges facing travel managers in this unprecedented context. As a result of the crisis <strong>priorities<\/strong> have changed radically. While the <strong>cost reduction<\/strong> used to dominate the rankings - it was the number 1 priority in 2016, 2017, 2018 and even 2020 - this aspect has been relegated to... thirteenth place!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, health and regulatory issues have become a priority: keeping abreast of legislation and travel restrictions is in second place, ahead of...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\"><p>More than <strong>300 business travel professionals<\/strong> were surveyed by the Business Travel Show. The London show sought to identify the challenges facing travel managers in this unprecedented context. As a result of the crisis <strong>priorities<\/strong> have changed radically. While the <strong>cost reduction<\/strong> used to dominate the rankings - it was the number 1 priority in 2016, 2017, 2018 and even 2020 - this aspect has been relegated to... thirteenth place!<\/p>\n<p>Of course, health and regulatory issues have become a priority: keeping abreast of legislation and travel restrictions is in second place, ahead of uncertainty about the health situation. But ultimately, what travel managers are most concerned about over the next twelve months is the<strong>evolution of their role within the company<\/strong>. It should also be noted that the situation of the domestic market is of concern to travel managers, who cite the <strong>Brexit<\/strong> to 5th position. Conversely, sustainable development, which made it into the top 10 for the first time last year, has simply been dropped from the 2021 list...<\/p>\n<p>\" <em>Business travel has become much more complicated over the last 18 months, with the introduction of Brexit, (...) as well as the obvious quarantine and testing requirements associated with Covid<\/em> \"says Clare Francis, Travel Supplier Category Manager at Willis Towers Watson. \" <em>However, as many colleagues have not travelled for a long time, many of these new and confusing restrictions are still unfamiliar to them, so training and communication will form a large part of our strategy to \"reimagine travel\".
