The new season in the Paris hotel industry has been marked by two contemporary openings. The Kimpton St Honor\u00e9 Paris, from IHG's premium and lifestyle brand<\/strong> which has 75 hotels worldwide, was long announced<\/a>. The hotel is located on boulevard des Capucines, almost opposite the Parisian flagship of the British group<\/a>, the InterContinental Paris Le Grand<\/a>. Its setting: a Art Nouveau building<\/strong> which, when it opened in 1917, was home to \"La Samaritaine de Luxe\".<\/p>\n

Offering 149 rooms<\/strong>The Kimpton St Honor\u00e9 Paris also has a restaurant, the Montecito, where French chef Nicolas Pastot and American chef Carrie Solomon have created a cuisine with Californian accents, all in a retro seaside Art Deco decor. The hotel also offers its guests a unique venue with a rooftop cocktail bar<\/strong>The Sequoia, with its 360\u00b0 view over the rooftops of Paris, was designed as an Art Deco winter garden.<\/p>\n

However, the hotel also lends itself to more studious pursuits with a dedicated space for meetings and events with direct access from rue Daunou<\/strong> and a basement car park. The Kimpton offers businesses and mobile workers five meeting rooms, named La Station, La Fabrique, L'Atelier, L'Officine and Le Lab. These are complemented by Le Studio, a 300 m2 reception room with a mezzanine and a huge LED wall. A chic, upmarket venue for trendy corporate events.<\/p>\n

Still in the Op\u00e9ra district, but on the grand boulevards<\/strong>On boulevard Haussmann in particular, the former Millennium Paris Opera has been given a contemporary makeover and will reopen its doors on 9 September under a new name. the M Social brand<\/strong>. Contemporary design, works of art, redesigned rooms: the Millennium & Copthorne group has spent \u20ac5.4 million to convert the hotel to its lifestyle brand, launched in 2016 and already present in Auckland, New York and Singapore, with no doubt more developments to come. \"\u00a0People are looking for new and exciting experiences<\/em>said Kwek Leng Beng, Executive Chairman of Millennium & Copthorne Hotels. M Social Paris, the brand's first in Europe, offers 163 rooms and suites<\/strong> inspired, like the whole hotel, by the elegance of the Roaring Twenties reinterpreted in a modern way. A chic ambience that businesses will be able to appreciate in the freshly refurbished event space. Under four-metre high ceilings, the hotel boasts seven rooms<\/strong> ranging from 10 to 80 participants.<\/p>\n
