Also via Twitter, the mayor of the 10th arrondissement said that she would remain \"mobilised\".\u00a0<em>working alongside the residents of #Paris10 to bring about a new, more sober and more ecological project to modernise #GareDuNord<\/em>\" .<\/p>\n<p>Will it or won't it? The City of Paris, which has long warned against these \"\u00a0<strong><em>financial and timing risks<\/em><\/strong>\" invited to \"\u00a0<em>not postponing the modernisation and renovation of the station yet again<\/em>\u00a0\"and intends to work with SNCF to achieve this. In its press release, it pointed out that<strong> the 2024 Olympic Games should remain a common goal<\/strong> to implement this modernisation. For its part, the government supports the idea of an alternative project.<\/p>\n<p>Interviewed by BFM TV, Jean-Baptiste Djebbari, the French Transport Minister, explained that he had asked SNCF to rethink a much smaller project, in the region of \u20ac50 million, to meet the challenges of 2023 and 2024. \"\u00a0<em>The development of Gare du Nord is a serious matter<\/em><em>It is a station that is difficult to manage in terms of traffic flow.<\/em>\" he stressed.
