Located in Vila Nova de Gaia, on the banks of the Douro, the new hotel is part of the<strong>a converted former port warehouse<\/strong>. At a cost of 40 million euros, the transformation has preserved the building's character while giving it a very contemporary feel. The renovation of the interior was entrusted to Portuguese designer Nini de Andrade Silva, giving the building a very contemporary feel. <strong>sophisticated setting<\/strong> for the 32,000 square metre site.<\/p>\n<p>The hotel rooms,<strong> 194<\/strong>Many of them have been designed with the history of the building in mind. <strong>view of the Douro<\/strong>. While the hotel lends itself to relaxation, with a wellness centre covering more than 1,000 square metres, a heated indoor swimming pool and a gym, the Hilton Porto Gaia is also set to become a \"place to be\". <strong>a top venue for business seminars<\/strong>The hotel is also an ideal base camp for incentive breaks in northern Portugal. The hotel has over 2,200 square metres of conference and event space, including a 350-seat auditorium and a ballroom for up to 600 people.<\/p>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>This opening consolidates our commitment to Portugal, with the Hilton Porto Gaia being the first in a series of new openings that will see the Hilton portfolio more than double in size. <strong>double in the coming years<\/strong><\/em>\" said David Kelly, Hilton's senior vice-president for continental Europe. The American group currently has five hotels, including a Hilton in Villamoura, a DoubleTree in Lisbon and a Conrad in the Algarve. Planned developments include the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/collection-marques-light-histoire-20210511.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Curio Collection<\/a> will soon be making its debut in Lisbon, in mid-November, with The Emerald House hotel. By the end of the year, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/hilton-tapestry-europe-doubletree-allemagne-20210609.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tapestry
