These are the two words used by Henri de Peyrelongue, Managing Director, Commercial Sales. <strong>Air France-KLM<\/strong> during a presentation at the tourism trade fair <strong>IFTM Top Resa<\/strong>. \"\u00a0<em>Air France has prepared for this difficult period. <strong>We have therefore continued to invest to maintain our entire network<\/strong>. We also showed ourselves to be as flexible as possible in this economic climate. For example, by reacting very quickly to a leisure offer.<strong> At the same time, we have guaranteed our passengers a safe, flexible and comfortable journey.<\/strong><\/em>\" he describes. La <strong>environmental issue is just as important<\/strong> with the assurance of offering a more sustainable product. The epitome of this desire to combine sustainable development and comfort is the Airbus A220, the first of which has just been delivered. The carrier has also invested in its ground product with the opening of several lounges - again, the symbol of this revival being the<strong> Schengen lounge at Terminal 2F<\/strong>. It offers space for over 500 passengers.<\/p>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>We are therefore delighted to receive recognition for this investment effort. In the space of a few months, we have received four awards for our service, including most recently from <strong>best airline in Europe by Skytrax<\/strong><\/em>\" adds the General Sales Manager.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">Focus on flights to sun destinations<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>As for the airline offer, it is becoming ever denser. \"\u00a0<em>Even if it mainly concerns leisure destinations, where we have shown agility in responding to demand<\/em>\" says Henri Hourcade, CEO France Air France-KLM. A catalogue of <strong>80 seasonal routes this summer, including 25 never served before<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The new winter destinations are therefore geared more towards the leisure market, even if there is a demand for business travel. According to Henri Hourcade, Air France is launching long-haul 'sunshine' flights to <strong>Zanzibar, Muscat, Colombo and Maputo in Mozambique<\/strong>. \"\u00a0<em>From his side, <strong>KLM<\/strong> will serve <strong>Port of Spain<\/strong> in Trinidad and Tobago, <strong>Cancun<\/strong> as well as <strong>Barbados<\/strong><\/em>\" he adds. Henri Hourcade.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:heading --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Air France is not remaining inactive on short-haul routes. On departure from Roissy CDG, it will be offering additional flights to Spain with <strong>Malaga, Tenerife and Valencia<\/strong>. It will also be offering flights to <strong>Rovaniemi<\/strong> in Finland, on the edge of Lapland. The carrier will also be expanding in <strong>Orly<\/strong> with flights to <strong>Algiers, Berlin and Munich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The recovery in business traffic is beginning to take shape, but it is nonetheless proceeding very slowly in Europe, according to the two Air France executives. \"\u00a0<em>And it's the same scenario in all our traditional European markets. <strong>The only really tangible upturn in business traffic so far is in the domestic market<\/strong><\/em>\" says Henri Hourcade.<\/p>\n<table style=\"border-collapse: collapse; width: 100%;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"width: 100%;\">\n<h3>Services to the United States, seat capacity and fares<\/h3>\n<p>At the CEO Talks organised during the IFTM Top R\u00e9sa trade fair, Henri Hourcade spoke about the Group's business, in particular the <strong>business market recovery<\/strong>These included the airline's flight plan to the United States, as well as the development of fares and CSR. When questioned by Fran\u00e7ois-Xavier Izenic, the CEO of Air France-KLM, France, said that it would take time to get business back on track: \"\u00a0<em>although it's still a little early to say what levels we'll reach, we're seeing a gradual recovery, mainly in our domestic market, but also in Europe.<\/em>. \"<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Air France is continuing to adapt its offer with a <strong>piloting services on mainly leisure routes<\/strong>. A strategy implemented this summer in Europe, and extended this winter to long-haul destinations such as Muscat, Zanzibar and Colombo. Other advantages in the face of fluctuating demand are the availability of a large base of leisure travellers in business class, helped by Paris's position as one of the world's top tourist destinations, and the fact that its fleet includes 'quick change' B777s, which can rapidly increase the number of seats available in economy class.<\/p>\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>We haven't yet gone back to 100 %, of course, but this winter it will be at least<strong> equivalent to two-thirds of its previous level<\/strong>\"\u00a0<\/em>said Henri Hourcade. This is a higher volume than that announced by Lufthansa and British Airways. In this context, the accessibility of the West Indies to vaccinated travellers, without testing or quarantine, and above all the easing of travel restrictions for Europeans to the United States, which accounts for 40 % of the group's turnover, are obviously seen as good news. \"\u00a0<em>Although we still don't know the exact date of the reopening - \"early November\" they say - we have seen bookings pick up again for the period from mid-November to January.<\/em>\" underlines the CEO of Air France-KLM. <strong>Air France intends to return to its nominal schedule to the United States, with around one hundred flights a week and eleven routes served.<\/strong>including the reopening of Seattle.<\/p>\n<p>As for the pricing conditions to be expected in the years to come, Henri Hourcade foresees \"\u00a0<strong><em>a degree of short-term price stability<\/em><\/strong>\" .
