The fleet of <strong>52 aircraft includes only seven long-haul aircraft, all Airbus A330s.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>ITA is already planning services for next year <strong>58 destinations on 74 routes with 78 aircraft<\/strong>. It will resume its flights to New York in November. This will be followed in March by a return to Miami and Boston, and during the summer of 2022 to Los Angeles, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For the time being, the carrier has decided to take up the vacancy left by Alitalia in the Skyteam alliance.<\/strong>. It has already signed an initial partnership agreement with Delta Air Lines. Skyteam and ITA will have to formalise their links officially. And if a future strategic partner of the new airline is also interested in the Skyteam alliance. It is said that<strong>Air France-KLM is considering a strategic merger<\/strong> with the new company.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Skyteam would in fact appear to be in favour of accepting ITA as a member.<\/strong>. Indeed,<strong> the alliance is currently suffering from a weakening of its membership in Europe<\/strong> with the restructuring of the Czech airline CSA and the probable takeover of Air Europa by IAG.
