That's what the new partnership between <strong>Swiss<\/strong> and <strong>AirPortr<\/strong>a digital platform providing intelligent baggage management solutions. The Lufthansa Group airline is thus offering a new <strong>\"AirPortr option<\/strong>which passengers can use to request <strong>collection of their luggage from home<\/strong>This can be booked up to 23 days before their flight. After checking their identity documents and boarding card, customers will be given a <strong>digital luggage tag<\/strong> to trace their baggage, which is sealed under Swissport's responsibility. Travellers will not see their baggage again until they arrive at their destination, on the airport conveyor belt. Swiss points out that \" <em>travelling from home to the airport without luggage can be made easier by public transport, as shown by a recent study of Airportr users. 66% of customers opted for public transport because they no longer needed to carry their luggage.<\/em> \".<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>improve the customer experience, make travel more connected and greener, and optimise operational activities on the ground<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The new service is only available from<strong>Geneva airport<\/strong>Luggage collection is available to all residents of the Lake Geneva region.
