While the World Expo has been driving Dubai's hotel industry since 1 October, visitors to the city have had the opportunity to discover a new brand in the busy Business Bay district. Given the diversity of hotels already on offer in the emirate, this is something of a rarity. The brand Hyde Hotels<\/strong> has chosen Dubai to make its debut outside the United States. This player in the contemporary hotel sector, which has a number of establishments in Florida, was initially launched by the American group sbe, taken over by Accor in 2018<\/a> and integrated into the joint venture Ennismore<\/a>dedicated to the development of lifestyle hotels.<\/p>\n

True to this positioning, this elegant hotel is distinguished by the diversity of culinary concepts on offer<\/strong>s, including a Japanese restaurant, Katsuya, and an Oriental Mediterranean-inspired table, Cleo, as well as the New York speakeasy-style Hudson Tavern bar, all in spaces designed by South African Tristan Plessis. Also on the programme are an exclusive swimming pool and a Cinq Mondes spa.<\/p>\n

As for 276 rooms, all with balcony<\/strong> and designed by Italian architect Ciarmoli Queda, they come in a wide range of categories, from the Deluxe Hyde Out to the Executive and Presidential suites, not forgetting the premium Hyde Away rooms with views of the Burj Khalifa. The Hyde Dubai also offers a 200 m2 meeting room for up to 100 participants.<\/p>\n

This latest development expands Accor's offering in the emirate, which already boasts a around fifty establishments<\/strong> with more to come. The month of October saw the opening of a number of new establishments, including the luxurious Raffles The Palm\u00a0<\/strong>Dubai<\/b>This 389-room resort is set on 500 metres of private beach.<\/p>\n

French hoteliers are obviously not not the only one to continue its expansion in the emirate<\/strong>. While the German group Deutsche Hospitality expects to open a 138-room InterCity Hotel along Dubai's canal in the Al Jaddaf district by the end of the year, Marriott recently unveiled a new project for its upmarket lifestyle brand W. Adding to the W Dubai The Palm, already open on Palm Jumeirah Island, this new address will be located in the heart of Dubai. on Jumeirah Beach<\/strong>Located in the bay of Mina Seyahi and close to the Dubai Marina.<\/p>\n

Expected to open next year, the future W Dubai - Mina Seyahi will offer 318 rooms<\/strong>including 26 suites and an Extreme WOW suite. Its lifestyle spirit will be expressed by the presence of one of the brand's signatures, namely a lively lobby, the W Lounge. This will be complemented by a swimming pool, a spa and a top-of-the-range fitness centre spread over two floors of the hotel. Last October, Marriott International also opened a luxurious 298-room St Regis in the heart of Downtown Dubai, on the banks of the canal.<\/p>\n
