This absence was obviously due to the Covid pandemic. An Airbus A330-300 landed at exactly 8.14am at<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> Lyon Saint<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Exup\u00e9ry<\/span> due to<span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> a flight of<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">6 hours and 21 minutes. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"page3R_mcid10\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">This return was eagerly awaited at Lyon airport. The Air Canada flight remains<strong> the only permanent route to North America<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"page38R_mcid2\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The Canadian national carrier is resuming services to Lyon with t<strong>hree to four flights <\/strong><\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>per week<\/strong>. <strong>Air Canada plans to increase weekly frequencies to five from May 3<\/strong>. The aircraft assigned to the route is an Airbus A330.<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">300. It is in a <strong>sorting configuration<\/strong><\/span><strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">classes with <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">297<\/span> <\/strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>seats<\/strong> spread over the<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> class<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Signature<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Economy class<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Privilege<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">and class <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Economical.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Air Canada says that in Montreal<strong> Lyon passengers have connections to 51 cities in Canada as well as to more than twenty cities in the United States and Mexico<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">Toulouse still in the firing line<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span id=\"page38R_mcid38\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Outside the context of the health crisis, Air Canada serves seven French cities<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Paris-CDG, Bordeaux, Fort<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">from<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">France, <\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Lyon, Marseille, Nice and Pointe<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">\u00e0<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">&#8211;<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">Pitre. However, many routes are only operated on a seasonal basis. The carrier operates up to 40 flights<\/span> <span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">weekly to its three hubs in<\/span><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"> Montr\u00e9al-Trudeau, Toronto and Vancouver. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"page38R_mcid38\" class=\"markedContent\"><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\">The company still specifies that it is preparing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-canada-aeroport-toulouse-20190828.html\/\"><strong>launch of a year-round flight between Toulouse<\/strong><\/a><\/span><strong> and <\/strong><span dir=\"ltr\" role=\"presentation\"><strong>Montr\u00e9al<\/strong>. The launch was initially scheduled for 5 June 2020.
