After Madrid at the start of last summer and Paris at the beginning of September, the Tapestry Collection by Hilton<\/a> continues to expand in major European cities with the announcement ofa hotel expected in Rome early next year<\/strong>. Still in the renovation phase, the Cosmopolita Rome will offer 76 rooms<\/strong> once these have been completed, as well as a rooftop breakfast area with a view of the Eternal City, and a meeting space for business travellers.<\/p>\n

Located in the centre of Rome, just a ten-minute walk from the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain, the hotel strengthens the group's offering in Rome, which already includes seven hotels, including the prestigious Waldorf Astoria Rome Cavalieri. But it also demonstrates the appeal of this brand<\/strong> to attract independent hoteliers into the Hilton fold, with the Tapestry Collection now boasting a portfolio of over 70 hotels.<\/p>\n

After the Cosmopolita Rome, Hilton is looking forward to new developments in Italy, with eight new hotels planned<\/strong>. \"\u00a0This will enable us to considerably expand our presence in seaside resorts and major cities.<\/em>\" said Patrick Fitzgibbon, Senior Vice President of Development for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Among the establishments in the pipeline, the Italian capital will see the opening next year of the Hilton Rome Eur La Lama<\/strong>in the business district of EUR.<\/p>\n

Alongside this opening, the American group has also announced a major project for Southern Europe. Visit Hilton Athens<\/strong>its flagship hotel in the Greek capital, which opened in 1963, is about to embark on a phase of profound transformation to welcome within its walls a luxury 280-room Conrad hotel<\/strong> and 50 private residences under the Conrad and Waldorf Astoria brands. This \u20ac130 million project, backed by Ionian Hotel Enterprises, one of the leading players in Greek tourism, is due for completion in 2024 and will see the rise of a vast complex dedicated to luxury in the heart of the Greek capital. In addition to the Conrad hotel and top-of-the-range residences, the site will include a private club, trendy boutiques and numerous restaurants.<\/p>\n
