The navigation tool was downloaded 106 million times, compared with 94 million times for <strong>Uber<\/strong>on the second step of the podium. The VTC platform dominated the previous edition of the Apptopia rankings. But its number of downloads fell slightly - it was 95 million in 2020 - while Google Maps leapt ahead: 18 million downloads in 2020...<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-content\" style=\"display:none\">\n<p>The website <strong>Apptopia<\/strong> recently published its results for the year 2021 in the field of <strong>mobile applications<\/strong>. Its focus on tools dedicated to travel tells us that <strong>Google Maps<\/strong> was the most downloaded mobile solution worldwide last year. The navigation tool was downloaded 106 million times, compared with 94 million times for <strong>Uber<\/strong>on the second step of the podium. The VTC platform dominated the previous edition of the Apptopia rankings. But its number of downloads fell slightly - it was 95 million in 2020 - while Google Maps leapt ahead: 18 million additional downloads over the last twelve months. <strong>Booking<\/strong> completes the podium of a largely successful list <strong>dominated by VTC applications<\/strong>. American travellers favoured Uber, Lyft and the airline and hotel booking tool Hopper, while when it came to accommodation Airbnb (4th) was once again ranked ahead of Booking (5th). Overall, the video-conferencing tool is ahead of Google Meet and WhatsApp Business. Microsoft's mobile solution Teams came 4th, with Webex Meetings in 9th place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a
