Cooperation between the two carriers will cease as of<strong> end 2022<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched in 2013, the routes jointly operated by the two operators have never been profitable, and SNCF has decided to throw in the towel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/retard-concurrence-tgv-espagne-20210312.html\/\" data-id=\"106673\">Delay in opening up Spain's TGV lines to competition<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>France's national airline to operate the Paris-Barcelona TGV line alone from 2023<\/strong>. It believes it can ensure its own profitability. Operating revenues will no longer have to be shared with its Spanish counterpart, just like the obligation to change train drivers at border crossings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tgv-espagne-portugal-20221011.html\/\" data-id=\"133363\">The Iberian Peninsula is seeing a proliferation of high-speed rail projects<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>In Barcelona, passengers will even be able to connect to the Barcelona-Madrid route. La <strong>SNCF is present there through its OUIGO trains.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La <strong>RENFE<\/strong> operates in cooperation with SNCF <strong>AVE trains on the Marseille-Madrid and Lyon-Barcelona routes<\/strong> all year round. <strong>It also wants to compete with the SNCF on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille and Paris-London routes.<\/strong>. In total, there are up to 14 daily trains between France and Spain in the high season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/renfe-liaisons-france-espagne-20230616.html\/\" data-id=\"150645\">Renfe, SNCF's competitor on France-Spain
