The French group was in charge of this vast project - the cost of which is the highest in the history of infrastructure concessions in Chile. <strong>(\u20ac860 million)<\/strong> - alongside Vinci Airports and Astaldi Concessioni. Built in less than five years, this new <strong>248 400 m\u00b2<\/strong> has given a new dimension to the gateway to Chile. While the airport handled 24.6 million passengers before the health crisis, its annual capacity in 2019 will now reach <strong>38 million passengers<\/strong>. The number of passenger bridges has risen from 18 to 67, and the number of boarding gates from 31 to 76.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, various <strong>sustainable initiatives<\/strong> have been incorporated into the airport's design. Like the 10,336 LED lights, which should reduce lighting-related energy consumption by 70 %.
