It should be around 40 euros per journey in economy class and 100 euros in business class. The Franco-Dutch duo does not intend to introduce a surcharge on short and medium-haul routes for the time being.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Other companies, however, have indicated that they do not wish to follow this new path<\/strong>. Probably for fear of nipping the air transport recovery in the bud. Their refusal to accept a fuel surcharge is also due to good coverage of paraffin purchases. This is the case, for example, with<strong> Ryanair<\/strong> which has secured its purchases at 65 dollars a barrel for this year, but also from <strong>Lufthansa<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>However, an increase in air fares - particularly on long-haul routes - seems difficult to avoid. In addition to soaring oil prices, the following factors also need to be taken into account for routes to Asia <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/europe-trafic-aerien-russie-20220228.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the closure of Russian airspace<\/a> to airlines from countries \"hostile\" to the Kremlin's policies. This means a<strong> longer flight times<\/strong> between an hour and a half and more than two hours. This means higher fuel consumption on each flight.<\/p>\n<p>This development could well put the brakes on the long-awaited recovery in air travel this year.
