This baggage service had already been offered to customers departing from Geneva airport since last October.<\/p>\n<p>Travellers arriving at or departing from Zurich airport can now take advantage of the following services <strong>\"smart baggage\" from AirPortr<\/strong> <strong>to collect their luggage and check it in on the outward journey<\/strong>. <strong>The service is also available for delivery to your home or hotel on your return.<\/strong>. We expect demand from Swiss consumers to continue to grow strongly, as intermodal baggage-free travel to and from the airport is easier than ever\".<\/p>\n<p>By selecting the AirPortr,<strong> Passengers can leave their baggage at their home or hotel up to 23 hours before departure.<\/strong>. Passengers simply need to check in online. The boarding pass is checked when the baggage is collected.<\/p>\n<p>These are sealed to<strong> ensure safe transport to the airport<\/strong> where they undergo the usual security checks. This allows AirPortr to clear baggage through customs before delivery. Customers are kept informed by e-mail and SMS at every stage of the process. They can track their baggage at any time using the AirPortr web application, and receive digital copies of the airline's baggage receipts.<\/p>\n<p>The AirPortr service allows travellers to <strong>promote public transport <\/strong>as they travel without luggage. <strong>At the airport, they also save time by going straight through security.<\/strong>. On their return to Zurich, they can go directly to their final destination.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A recent study by AirPortr showed that around 66 % of AirPortr users switched from private car use to public transport.<\/strong>. The price of the AirPortr service depends on the pick-up and delivery location. It varies from CHF 39 for two bags in Zurich and Geneva to CHF 69 in areas further from the airport.<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #a71f31;\">Pre-order meal option from 1 June<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>And since 1 June, <strong>Swiss offers Business Class passengers the opportunity to choose the dish of their choice free of charge online before departure<\/strong>. In addition to the main dishes in the Swiss Taste of Switzerland culinary programme, four extra dishes will be served on long-haul flights.
