In June 2022 Brussels<\/strong> has returned to more or less normal traffic levels. The Belgian hub handled 1.73 million passengers, an increase of 168% compared with June 2021.<\/strong>. This still represents a fall of 28% compared with June 2019, before the crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, airport management notes that this is the best result in absolute terms since the start of the Covid crisis. Passenger numbers could have been even better had it not been for the various social movements<\/a><\/strong> which affected the airport during the week of 20 June. Several airlines also experienced occasional cancellations due to capacity problems at European airports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
