They confirm the upturn in global traffic, which is benefiting the Turkish airline in particular.<strong> Turkish carried 30.89 million passengers.<\/strong> <strong>over the first six months of 2022<\/strong>. This performance is still down 12% on the figures for the first half of 2019. The <strong>The average load factor for the first half of the year was 75.6%<\/strong>4.5 points lower than in the same period of 2019 (80.1%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Passenger yield, on the other hand, rose by 12%<\/strong> while total passenger revenue rose by 7.9%. The net balance returned to a positive 730 million dollars in the first half.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company is therefore regaining some financial room for manoeuvre. This will be reflected in the expansion of its network. Turkish Airlines has announced plans to open 14 new stopovers around the world in the coming months. Europe is generating <strong>53% of international passenger movements<\/strong> of Turkish, well ahead of <strong>Middle East with 17%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Turkish would like to add services to the United States from<strong> Detroit <\/strong>and <strong>Denver<\/strong>.
