With companies returning to normal, the time has come to look at the relationship between employees and meetings in this \"post-war world\". Its authors note that \"86% of French employees are confronted with unnecessary meetings\". This figure is equivalent to that in Belgium (85%), and limited to 70% in the Spanish market. Even more worrying: in France (51%) as in Belgium (56%) and even more so in Spain (60%), more than one in two employees sometimes attend meetings \"without knowing precisely why they are there\". This observation is compounded by a generational aspect: \" <em>The younger you are, the less you know why you have been invited to a meeting (82% of 18-24 year-olds compared with 99% of over-55s).<\/em> \"says the report.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>However, contrary to popular belief, French companies do not necessarily go overboard when it comes to the number of meetings they hold. One in two French employees (49%) spends less than 6 hours a week in meetings. And 40% of French employees say they never take part in group meetings involving more than 2 people. In fact, 68% of teams in France have never been trained to run meetings. And women are particularly concerned: \" <em>In France, women are half as likely to have received training in what constitutes a successful meeting (23% of the women surveyed had received such training, compared with 40% of the men).<\/em> \"say the authors of the study.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\"<em> The meeting is a major corporate event.
