French business travellers are back on board, pushing the European market to catch up. \"<em>We have returned to occupancy rates in the air transport sector that are more or less comparable to the world average, while <strong>France and Europe were behind schedule in 2020 and 2021<\/strong>up to minus 25%<\/em>\"notes Bertrand Poey. Many companies are back in the field, especially SMEs.<\/em>\".<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\r\n<p>business travel has been enriched by MICE, because with the increase in teleworking, the aim has been to recreate links and commuting with employees who have moved to the provinces<\/p>\r\n<cite>Bertrand Poey Managing Director, Amadeus France<\/cite><\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>However, the Managing Director of Amadeus for France notes that the face of business travel has changed, and market players are going to have to come to terms with this and, above all, adapt to it. \"<em>It's clear that business travel is not quite the same as it used to be, and some large companies have scaled back. Since the end of the first quarter of 2022, business travel has been enriched by <strong>MICE<\/strong>because with the <strong>teleworking<\/strong> it was about <strong>recreating links<\/strong>and <strong>commuting<\/strong>With employees having moved to the provinces. So the outlook is positive, which was not at all the case when we were talking about business travel in 2020. There are things we can do, even if it means we have to adapt.<\/em>\".<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>This means adapting, but also investing again, even though Amadeus did not put its work on hold during the pandemic. \"<em>In 2021, still under pressure, we have spent 780 million euros, whereas in 2019 we were not far from one billion.<\/em>\"says Denis Lacroix, Chairman of Amadeus SAS. \"<em>In the second quarter of 2022, our R&amp;D expenditure grew by 30%. We are therefore almost back to pre-crisis levels, which is a demonstration of our confidence in the future. Of course, there are factors beyond our control. But fundamentally over the long term, <strong>we are very confident<\/strong><\/em>\".<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Amadeus' technological ambitions can also count on the support of a first-rate partner, <strong>Microsoft<\/strong>with whom the relationship is visibly fruitful. Evoking a veritable \"<em>alignment of the planets<\/em>\"Denis Lacroix: \"<em>We've really found each other, and the more we work with them, the more we identify things we can do together.<\/em>\". Business travellers have already been benefiting from these joint projects for several months now, with the integration of Cytric Easy and Microsoft 365, linking the employee's day-to-day environment (Outlook, Teams) with Cytric's travel tools. \"<em>This is the first concrete announcement, but there are many initiatives underway with Microsoft<\/em>\"Amadeus managers warn. Business travellers will be able to discover these new features at the IFTM Top Resa event, from 20 to 23 September.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\">\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/cytric-easy-amadeus-microsoft-20220331.html\/\" data-id=\"123209\">Cytric goes Easy mode with Amadeus and Microsoft<\/a><\/p>\r\n<\/aside>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\r\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-la-reservation-taxis-vtc-embarque-a-bord-de-cytric\">Taxi and VTC booking aboard Cytric<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>On 6 September, Amadeus made official the integration of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/all-mobilite-accor-karhoo-20220623.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karhoo<\/a> <\/strong>within <strong>Cytric<\/strong>. Business travellers will now be able to book their trips in <strong>taxis <\/strong>and <strong>VTC <\/strong>via the mobile application. More than a thousand towns and cities are covered by the service offered by the subsidiary of <strong>Mobilize<\/strong>which plans to add to its catalogue on a regular basis. Cytric users will therefore be able to pre-book or 'hail' a taxi for any number of destinations. Features include the ability to compare prices, vehicle categories (electric, hybrid, etc.) and estimated waiting times to book the journey that best suits their needs. The aim is to help corporate customers reduce their costs and better support their employees when they travel. The <strong>expense reports <\/strong>will also be covered by this partnership, as indicated by Amadeus managers: \"\u00a0<em>A future enhancement to the application will also link automatically generated receipts for customers using the Cytric Expense solution.<\/em>\" .<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>This partnership with Karhoo really takes us to the next level when it comes to providing a true end-to-end experience for business travellers.<\/em>\" says Vasken Tokatlian, Vice President Partnerships and Alliances at Amadeus Cytric solutions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The integration of Karhoo is part of a more global strategy focused on the <strong>multimodality<\/strong>Denis Lacroix explains. \"\u00a0<em>There is a very important area for investment in multimodality. Today, this works very poorly. The major players in the French market are not necessarily helping us, but we now need to be able to put together a journey that includes a train or plane segment with the last kilometre. We are hopeful.
