A curtain-raiser organised by the SNCF and Alstom at the industrial manufacturer's test centre in Paris. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/la-rochelle-convention-bureau-20220620.html\/\">La Rochelle<\/a>. \" <em>Le <strong>TGV M <\/strong>is not just a new-generation TGV, it's also a <strong>priority project <\/strong>for the <strong>SNCF <\/strong><\/em>\"underlined <strong>Christophe Fanichet<\/strong>the CEO of SNCF Voyageurs, who intends to <strong>double the proportion of rail journeys in France by 2030<\/strong>. <em>The TGV M is <strong>a strategic asset for tomorrow<\/strong>. It should enable SNCF to stay one step ahead of other modes of transport and competing rail companies in France and abroad. <\/em>\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-trafic-affaires-20220912.html\/\" data-id=\"130595\">SNCF: business traffic slowly picking up again<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-m-pour-mobilite-modernite-maitrise-modularite\">M for mobility, modernity, control, modularity...<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>More capacity with <strong>740 places compared with 634 today<\/strong>This represents growth of around <strong>20%<\/strong>the company's first aim is to <strong>anticipate forecast traffic growth<\/strong>. The TGV M will therefore be more <strong>modular <\/strong>with 7, 8 or 9 cars (i.e. one more than at present) and the possibility of <strong>easily convert 1st class seats into 2nd class seats<\/strong>. This will meet the demand from leisure customers during the major holiday periods. With the option of whether or not to have a bar in the train (redesigned, it is advertised as \" <em>revolutionary <\/em>\"It will also provide space for bicycles and fully independent access for people with reduced mobility. \" <em>The TGV M will have 20% of additional surface area, which passengers, the <strong>business customers <\/strong>in particular, will be able to really appreciate. This will make it possible to deliver an unrivalled service in terms of catering, welcome and comfort by <strong>Business Premi\u00e8re <\/strong>\"assures <strong>Alain Krakovitch <\/strong>Director of TGV-Intercit\u00e9s. These are arguments that should strike a chord with businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-premiere-circulation-attendue-fin-2024-sur-paris-lyon-marseille\">First trains on the Paris-Lyon-Marseille route expected by the end of 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a major investment for <strong>SNCF<\/strong>amounting to <strong>3.5 billion euros for 115 train sets<\/strong>. The timetable is now clear, <strong>Alstom <\/strong>to begin speed tests on the trainset in the near future. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/republique-tcheque-trains-grande-vitesse-20220810.html\/\">Czech Republic <\/a>before its approval in <strong>2023<\/strong>the interior fittings, the choice of the livery and a <strong>commissioning end 2024<\/strong>. Twelve trainsets a year will be delivered until 2032 or even 2040, with SNCF able to exercise purchase options on 85 additional trains. The first trains will be put into service on the South-East route, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tgv-futur-sncf-commande-20220819.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the recent additional order for 15 units<\/a> being used for SNCF's international services, primarily on the Paris-Lyon-Milan route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/tgv-futur-sncf-commande-20220819.html\/\" data-id=\"129501\">SNCF: an order for TGVs abroad<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The two partners presented a new-generation TGV, compact and aerodynamic.
