{"id":131473,"date":"2022-09-18T23:00:07","date_gmt":"2022-09-18T21:00:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=131473"},"modified":"2023-08-24T15:32:40","modified_gmt":"2023-08-24T13:32:40","slug":"singapore-changi-taxes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/singapore-changi-taxes","title":{"rendered":"More taxes at Singapore Changi"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is bad news for passengers taking off from France.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/singapore-airlines-nouveaux-salons-20220531.html\/\">Singapore airport, Changi<\/a>. <strong>From 1 November, higher airport charges will affect passengers departing from Changi Airport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Passengers on flights departing from Changi currently pay a departure charge of 52.30 $ (\u20ac37.11). This consists of a charge of 35.40 $ (\u20ac25.12) for passenger services and security, collected by the Changi Airport Group (CAG). To this must be added an aviation tax of 6.10 $ (\u20ac4.33) and an airport development tax of 10.80 $ (\u20ac7.66), collected by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-trois-augmentations-d-ici-2024\">Three increases by 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With the increases announced on 15 September,<strong> passengers will now have to pay 6.90 S$<\/strong>. Let <strong>a total passenger fee of $59.20 (\u20ac42)<\/strong> from 1 November. This will only be the first step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A further increase is scheduled for 1 April<\/strong> 3. <strong>This will be followed by a further increase of USD 3 in April 2024.<\/strong>. At that time, <strong>taxes payable by passengers departing from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/operation-mice-singapour-20230223.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Singapore <\/a>will reach \u20ac46.26<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, there are a number of reasons for this,<strong> Passengers whose tickets were issued before 1 November will not be affected by these increases.<\/strong> The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and the CAG made this clear in a joint statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Other passengers not affected by these increases: transit passengers<\/strong>. They will continue to pay only a transfer tax of 9 S$ (\u20ac6.40).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Airlines will also have to pay more parking fees and higher landing taxes, according to CAAS and ACG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/retour-surtaxe-carburant-20220324.html\/\" data-id=\"122785\">Fuel surcharges are back in air transport<\/a><\/p><\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Singapore Changi airport has decided to significantly increase its taxes on both passengers and airlines. Flights from Singapore will thus become even more expensive than they were before.
