The group has announced that it has received<strong> approval of its Science Based Targets (SBT)<\/strong> to help limit global warming to 1.5\u00b0C by 2050. In line with the objectives set by COP 21, a number of milestones on the road to 'net zero' have been validated, including the Group's commitment to <strong>reduce its category 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 46 % by 2030<\/strong>emissions, using 2019 as the base year. With regard to scope 3, the Group has also committed to reducing its emissions from fuel and energy-related activities, as well as from franchise activities, by 28 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/radisson-reunions-carbone-negatif-20211020.html\/\" data-id=\"115019\">Radisson Group supports carbon-negative meetings<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>Together with hotel owners, suppliers and our team, we are committed to <\/em><strong><em>on the road to complete decarbonisation by 2050<\/em><\/strong>\" said Inge Huijbrechts, Global Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications. Among its existing initiatives in this area, Radisson announced a few months ago a 100 % carbon-neutral global meetings programme based on automatically offsetting the carbon footprint of every event and meeting held in its hotels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-efficacite-energetique-et-construction-durable\">Energy efficiency and sustainable construction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Group has also embarked on its energy transition over the last decade, with efficiency gains of 30% announced over the period. <strong>Compared to the pre-covid period, Radisson has reduced its carbon emissions by 22 % per square metre.<\/strong>At the same time, its water footprint was reduced by 23 %. To go even further, the group has defined new construction guidelines - known as 'Build Planet' - for future establishments and renovations. Aligned with the LEED, BREAM and EDGE certifications, among the most reputed, these<strong> Build Planet hotels <\/strong>are built or renovated according to a series of eco-responsible conditions, including the use of sustainable materials and the efficient use of resources. At the same time, Radisson participates in a number of cross-industry initiatives such as Pathway to Net Positive Hospitality, supported by the World Travel &amp; Tourism Council, and the Sustainability Hotel Alliance, in which most major hotel groups participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/radisson-signataire-declaration-glasgow-20221117.html\/\" data-id=\"136481\">COP27: Radisson signs the Glasgow Declaration<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-plus-de-500-stations-de-recharge-electrique-deja-installees\">More than 500 electric recharging stations already installed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Engaged since this summer in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/radisson-recharge-vehicules-electriques-20210721.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">deploying a network of electric recharging stations<\/a> in its hotels in partnership with pan-European supplier Allego, Radisson is continuing in this direction with the unveiling of<strong>The first ultra-fast kiosk at the Radisson Blu in Frankfurt<\/strong>. This 150 kW, green energy-powered charging point is in addition to the existing night-time charging points, enabling travellers to recharge their vehicles in just 20 minutes. That's enough time for a meeting or simply a coffee at the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While offering a practical solution for electric vehicle owners and looking ahead to the expected development of sustainable vehicles, Radisson is also keeping an eye on the automotive sector. \"\u00a0<em>We can help drive the e-mobility movement forward by providing car brands with everything they need to organise sustainable events, starting with the right EV charging solution for each venue.<\/em>\" said Inge Huijbrechts, Global Senior Vice President, Sustainability, Security and Corporate Communications. Since the announcement of the partnership with Allegro,<strong> more than 510 charging points <\/strong>have been installed in 141 Radisson hotels in the Europe-Middle East-Africa region.
