Such as the accelerated adoption of innovative aeronautical technologies, the rationalisation of flight operations and the development of new technologies. <strong>increasing the production and use of<a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/long-courrier-air-france-carburant-durable-20210519.html\/\"> sustainable aviation fuels<\/a> (SAF)<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>The adoption by governments of this new long-term objective to decarbonise air transport, following similar commitments made by industry groups, will make a major contribution to the <strong>green innovation dynamic<\/strong>. As well as its implementation, which must be accelerated over the next few decades if we are to achieve zero-emission powered flights in the long term.<\/em>\" said Salvatore Sciacchitano, Chairman of the ICAO Council.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The States present at the ICAO Assembly also collectively underlined <strong>the importance of a financial commitment<\/strong>. Funding (private and\/or public) will provide the impetus, particularly for future investment in decarbonising the aviation industry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The States therefore support the new ICAO programme of assistance, capacity building and training for sustainable aviation fuels (ACT-SAF). A new ICAO conference on aviation and alternative fuels should be organised in 2023.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\">\r\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/advito-entreprises-empreinte-carbone-20220921.html\/\" data-id=\"131733\">Advito advises companies on how to travel better - and less<\/a><\/p>\r\n<\/aside>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-europe-un-leader-dans-le-monde\">Europe, a world leader<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In Europe, <strong>the five aviation organisations* working on the \"Destination 2050\" project have underlined the importance of this ambition<\/strong> solemnly affirmed. With \"Destination 2050\", <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/air-france-aeroports-aviation-durable-20220630.html\/\">european aviation sector<\/a> was the first in the world to commit to a net zero target<\/strong> for all departing flights.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Announced in early 2021, the \"Destination 2050\" alliance and commitment included a roadmap based on a clear set of measures to achieve this goal.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The Destination 2050 partners remain fully committed to this roadmap and are calling for <strong>political support for the four pillars required for low-carbon air transport<\/strong>. These include aircraft and engine technologies, air traffic management and aircraft operations, sustainable aviation fuels and intelligent economic measures.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><em><sup>*\u00a0<\/sup>AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD Europe), Airports Council International Europe (ACI EUROPE), Airlines for Europe (A4E), Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO), European Regions' Airline Association (ERA)\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"vapo-widget\"><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The ICAO, 184 States and 57 organisations have adopted a target of zero net carbon emissions by 2050.
