The airline made the new route official on Wednesday, and it is expected to be available from<strong>Summer 2023<\/strong>. On this occasion, easyJet emphasised that this year it was celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Nice base, and the progress made since its arrival on the C\u00f4te d'Azur in 1996.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-quote\"><blockquote><p>to link our region to the main economic, cultural and tourist centres of Europe and the Mediterranean region<\/p><cite>Franck Goldnadel, Chairman of the Board of A\u00e9roports de la C\u00f4te d'Azur<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/lyon-toulon-beauvais-lourdes-easyjet-20221207.html\/\" data-id=\"137715\">Lyon, Toulon, Beauvais, Lourdes: easyJet unveils other new services<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>We at easyJet are very proud to have achieved and maintained our leading position in Nice, even in the post-Covid recovery period.<\/em> \"Bertrand Godinot, Managing Director of easyJet in France, is delighted. \" <em>We share a strong history with Nice and its region, and we will continue to contribute to its appeal and to flying our customers, including the people of the C\u00f4te d'Azur, across France and Europe.<\/em> \". With some twenty routes operated on an exclusive basis, easyJet has established itself as a major, efficient and bold partner in our development.<\/em> \". While half of easyJet's Nice network is served exclusively by the airline, it will have to coexist with SAS on this service to the Danish capital. The airline also points out that <strong>business travellers account for an average 20% of passengers at Nice<\/strong>. A share that even reaches <strong>30% on domestic flights<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/extension-terminal-2-nice-20221006.html\/\" data-id=\"133129\">Nice Airport: the court gives the green light to the extension of Terminal 2<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-l-aeroport-de-nice-en-mode-economie-d-energie\">Nice airport in energy-saving mode<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside this announcement, on Tuesday the Nice platform made a strong commitment to the environment. \" <em>The C\u00f4te d'Azur Airports undertake to <strong>reduce their electricity consumption by 10% today <\/strong><\/em>\"said the management. The sobriety plan put in place by the airport includes a <strong>savings of 3.8 GWh<\/strong>. In particular, this effort will involve the widespread use of LED lighting, including on the South runway, where management expects savings of 30% compared with conventional lighting. The airport will also be<strong>extinction of advertising totems<\/strong> during the night, and will <strong>modulate the lighting<\/strong> of the terminals during the day, depending on the brightness outside. In addition, the airport management plans to modulate the temperature within the airport between 19\u00b0 in winter and 26\u00b0 in summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\" <em>Although our business is subject to numerous safety and security rules and a very strict regulatory framework, we can be proud of having been able to <strong>identify new sources of energy savings<\/strong><\/em> \"Franck Goldnadel is delighted.
