{"id":136659,"date":"2022-11-21T13:34:13","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T12:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/?p=136659"},"modified":"2022-12-02T11:29:13","modified_gmt":"2022-12-02T10:29:13","slug":"adp-photovoltaic-power-plant","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/adp-photovoltaic-power-plant","title":{"rendered":"ADP turns to photovoltaics for its electricity needs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After the SNCF, which recently announced a major contract to purchase<strong>photovoltaic electricity<\/strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/groupe-adp-trafic-hausse-20220720.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ADP<\/a> has just seen the materialisation of an agreement signed in February 2020 with producer Urbasolar and GazelEnergie, an electricity supplier specialising in the aggregation of renewable energies. The contract provided for the creation of three photovoltaic solar farms, the first of which has just been commissioned in the Gard region of France. <strong>The Caveirac power station<\/strong> has a maximum output of 6 MWp and was built by Urbasolar specifically to meet ADP's needs. Under this direct electricity supply contract,<strong> two other solar farms are due to make their debut between 2023 and 2024<\/strong>These include an 8 MWp plant in Bras, in the Var department, and a 22 MWp plant in Villognon, in the Charente department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/sncf-photovoltaique-trains-20221026.html\/\" data-id=\"135345\">SNCF signs mega contract for photovoltaic energy<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>In total, the contract signed by the owner of Paris CDG, Orly and Le Bourget airports covers an expected annual production of 47 GWh of green energy, covering <strong>10 % of airports' annual electricity requirements<\/strong> <strong>Paris region<\/strong>and almost 75% of their lighting needs. All of this over a 21-year period, guaranteeing ADP competitive prices over the long term and stimulating the development of this eco-responsible industrial sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\"\u00a0<em>Urbasolar is delighted with this partnership, which will enable us to take over from public support mechanisms at no cost or risk to public finances.<\/em>\" said Antoine Millioud, CEO of Urbasolar.\u00a0<em>We are making a concrete contribution to<strong> creation of additional solar capacity in France<\/strong>which will contribute to the transition of the French energy mix, while helping to decarbonise our company and boost its performance.<\/em>\" describes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/augustin-de-romanet-pdg-groupe-adp-20170705.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Augustin de Romanet<\/a>CEO of the ADP Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/aeroports-francais-decarbonation-20221129.html\/\" data-id=\"136955\">French airports, model pupils in decarbonisation according to ACI Europe<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The decarbonisation of its business is already underway, while <strong>100 % of its consumption now comes from renewable sources<\/strong>The production of new solar farms is part of this. At the same time, for heat production and heating needs, the <strong>deep geothermal energy<\/strong>a technology already in use at Paris-Orly, will be deployed at Le Bourget in 2025 and at Paris CDG in 2026. All these factors will lead the ADP group towards zero net emissions at Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget in 2030 and in 2035 for internal emissions at Paris-Charles de Gaulle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-highlight-box\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-depots-de-bagages-davantage-de-machines-en-libre-service\">Baggage reclaim: more self-service machines<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Paris's Roissy and Orly airports are expanding their self-service baggage drop-off facilities. A total of 360 machines have already been installed, <strong>more than 100 others<\/strong> should be added in the coming months, with more than half the check-in points at Paris airports equipped by this deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paris Airport has signed an agreement with Amadeus, whose subsidiary ICM Airport Technics will supply 100 Auto Bag Drop machines to ADP Group hubs. \"\u00a0<em>We are delighted to be working with Amadeus to increase the number of passengers checking in their own luggage at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Paris-Orly airports.<\/em>\" said Edward Arkwright, Deputy CEO of ADP. While baggage can still be checked in at airline counters, this technological solution offers a smoother experience for passengers, with a guaranteed baggage deposit at the airport.<strong> 37 seconds<\/strong> on average.<\/p>\n<\/aside>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Three solar farms, the first of which was recently inaugurated, will supply Paris airports with renewable energy.
