This plan will strengthen <strong>Riyadh <\/strong>as a global logistics centre, stimulating transport, trade and tourism and serving as a bridge between East and West.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The airport project is part of the <strong>vision 2030 <\/strong>for Saudi Arabia, which aims to raise <strong>Riyadh among the world's top ten business cities<\/strong> and support the growth of Riyadh's population, which is expected to reach <strong>15 to 20 million inhabitants <\/strong>by 2030. All of this is accompanied by pharaonic projects in the country around the transformation of the historic city of<strong>AlUla <\/strong>into a leading tourist and cultural destination or the project <strong>Neom<\/strong>a futuristic city built on the shores of the Red Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/billets-avion-visa-saudia-20230202.html\/\" data-id=\"141895\">Saudia's plane tickets also serve as a transit visa for Saudi Arabia<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"393\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-137021\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport-300x168-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>It is in fact a <strong>a real aeropolis<\/strong> which the Prime Minister intends to create. <strong>Covering an area of 57 km2, which will make it one of the largest airports in the world, the future airport complex will have six parallel runways, a capacity of 120 million passengers in the various terminals and a capacity of up to 1,000 million passengers.<\/strong>. The future King Salman International Airport will incorporate the existing terminals of King Khalid International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-185-millions-de-passagers-a-riyad-en-2050\">185 million passengers in Riyadh by 2050<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The future airport will also include 12 km\u00b2 of facilities for airport and para-airport activities<\/strong>. This includes residential and recreational facilities, retail outlets and other logistics real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport-2030.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-137023\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport-2030.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ksia-airport-2030-300x168-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>To <strong>2050<\/strong>the airport should be able to handle <strong>185 million passengers and a handling capacity of 3.5 million tonnes of freight<\/strong>. More than 130,000 people are expected to work at the airport hub. By way of comparison, the current airport was home to <strong>26 million passengers<\/strong> in 2019, and the post-crisis rebound reached 18 million passengers last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prince Mohammed Bin Salman's ambition is in fact to compete with the region's aviation heavyweights, Emirates and Qatar Airways. The government's strategy is to transform Riyadh airport into a base of operations for an entire airline network. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/seconde-compagnie-nationale-saoudienne-20210704.html\/\"><strong>new airline, RIA<\/strong><\/a>. Unlike the two Saudi-based airlines, Saudia and its low-cost subsidiary flyadeal, which operate mainly domestic and point-to-point services, the future carrier will target connecting traffic. Saudi Arabia will then be able to combine a vast <strong>a natural market of 35 million inhabitants<\/strong>&nbsp;\u00e0&nbsp;<strong>a hundred million transfer passengers<\/strong>&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a
