Used to welcoming celebrities to the Croisette, the hotel currently sports the InterContinental brand, one of the flagship brands of the IHG group. Renovated over a period of two years by interior designer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-tristan-auer-architecte-interieur-20200214.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tristan Auer<\/a> - who notably reimagined the Crillon a few years ago - the establishment is further raising the level of its offering. \"\u00a0<em>It is <strong>an icon of Riviera glamour<\/strong><\/em>said Kenneth MacPherson, Regional CEO EMEAA, IHG. <em>We look forward to working with our strategic partner Katara Hospitality to bring to life the reinvented Regent experience at Carlton Cannes.<\/em>. \"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/cannes-retour-firmament-mice-20230411.html\/\" data-id=\"146667\">Cannes back in the MICE firmament<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>The Belle \u00c9poque facade is magnified, and the contemporary elegance of the 332 bedrooms and 37 top-of-the-range residences, as well as the communal areas, are the hallmarks of this new building. <strong>haute couture approach <\/strong>IHG is planning to give a new impetus to the Regent brand, which was taken over by the British group in 2018. \"\u00a0<em>This is just the beginning of our ambition to further develop the brand across Europe.<\/em>\" said Kenneth MacPherson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regent now has hotels in Berlin and Montenegro in Europe, and in Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei in Asia. But <strong>a new generation of hotels is emerging <\/strong>for this brand founded in the 1970s, long known for its flagship Hong Kong palace on the banks of Victoria Harbour. The legend of this hotel will be revived at the beginning of next year, once the ambitious renovation by local designer Chi Wing Lo is complete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/mondrian-lifestyle-cannes-mars-20230227.html\/\" data-id=\"143673\">Mondrian Cannes opens in March<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the aegis of IHG,<strong> Regent Hotels back on track<\/strong> after a tumultuous history, the luxury brand having been close to Four Seasons for a time, then acquired by the Carlson group in 1998 and then sold to the Taiwanese group Formosa International Hotels in 2010. To embody the brand's new philosophy, the Regents in Chongqing and Shanghai have recently been renovated. At the same time, a newly-built hotel opened its doors in Vietnam last April, the Regent Phu Quoc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/ihg-ouvertures-grande-chine-20230228.html\/\" data-id=\"143723\">The Regent Hong Kong, flagship of IHG's development in Greater China<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the Carlton Cannes, other developments will follow, with a scheduled opening in Bali in early 2023 and other projects underway in Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Chengdu. Regent also recently announced <strong>a second address in Shanghai<\/strong>. Already present in the Pudong business district, next year the brand will move to the banks of the Huangpu River, transforming the former Seagull Hotel into a 130-room luxury hotel.
