An event that takes place every four years, teams from all over the world, dreams of stars... Sound familiar? Yes, the Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup! While the stars of the round ball were gathering in Qatar, it was in Luxembourg that the Villeroy & Boch Culinary World Cup took place. 75 teams from 55 countries<\/strong> in a highly competitive World Cup of Gastronomy. Covered by more than 150 journalists, this was the first time any of the following had taken part in the competition top chefs from Australia, Japan, Armenia and France<\/strong>. And in this game of culinary excellence, it's not always France that wins, as the Swiss junior and senior teams won over a jury of hotel and restaurant luminaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organised by Vatel-Luxembourg, the Grand Duchy's association of professional chefs, one of the world's most prestigious competitions <\/strong>was held over five days at the end of November. And it was held alongside the Expogast trade show for the general public, dedicated to tableware and gastronomy, which brought together 200 exhibitors. Orchestrated on the technical side by communications agency Brain&more and Codex Events, this double event was hosted at Luxexpo The Box<\/strong>one of the many places Luxembourg City has to offer organisers of world-class events<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Located on the Kirchberg plateau, in Luxembourg's business district and close to the European institutions, the Luxexpo The Box conference centre offers 34 000 m2<\/sup> modular, flexible spaces<\/strong>. With some thirty multi-purpose rooms for meetings, conferences and banquets, the venue can accommodate all types of event, from seminars for 100 people to trade fairs and exhibitions for over 3,000 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
