Opened in 1848 as the H\u00f4tel de France, in the early days of aristocratic tourism on the Riviera, it was extensively transformed at the turn of the 1920s to present the H\u00f4tel Plaza. the Belle Epoque style that made it famous<\/strong>In December 2018, the hotel closed its doors for renovation. Standing on the Promenade des Anglais, its silhouette has not changed. Its majestic 140-metre-long fa\u00e7ade still overlooks the Albert 1er gardens, but the whole building is now a yellow ochre. More importantly, a new elevation has given the hotel a rooftop terrace<\/strong> with a unique view over the Baie des Anges and Old Nice. The rooftop terrace houses a bar and restaurant, or rather restaurants, as the venue changes function according to the time of day.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Overseen by executive chef Denis Gamard, the rooftop welcomes hotel guests for breakfast and becomes Blunch for lunch, a restaurant concept focusing on grilled meat and fish, in a live cooking spirit. Its former prestige is now combined with contemporary luxury<\/strong>. Most with balcony or terrace, its 151 rooms and suites combine elegance and comfort, playing on Mediterranean textures and pastel colours with gold and wood panelling. Among its signature suites is the Baie des Anges Suite, 54 m2<\/sup>The lounge has a kitchenette and a panoramic terrace, while the presidential suite is 75 m2<\/sup>And, of course, a terrace with a view, ideal for private celebrations.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Thanks to its privileged position, the Antantara Plaza Nice also aims to be a top venue for exclusive corporate events<\/strong>. The hotel has eight multifunctional rooms ranging from 39 to 309 m2<\/sup>Most have natural light.
