This is a tweet from Fnaut Ile-de-France<\/strong>the transport users' association, which has once again turned the spotlight on the Orly TGV station<\/strong>. A tweet \"liked\" by Alain Krakovitch<\/strong>the director of TGV-Intercit\u00e9s<\/strong>. Unlike previous projects, which placed the station as close as possible to, or even under, the southern Paris airport, under the plan presented this station would be located 2 km further north, at Orly Bridge<\/strong>. The rail system will make it possible to connection with the existing RER C<\/strong> which stops at Pont d'Orly on its route between Massy-Palaiseau and Paris and, above all, with the line 14<\/strong> extended to the airport for the 2024 Olympic Games. With line 14 at a single stop and the Orly Val extension (two stops), 11 minutes would separate the two infrastructures, air and rail. However, the creation of a TGV station at Pont d'Orly is not a new project, as this site was put out to tender in 2008 by R\u00e9seau Ferr\u00e9 de France<\/strong> with three other possible locations: The heart of Orly<\/strong> (9 minutes by Orlyval), Rungis-La Fraternelle<\/strong> (10 minutes by Orlyval) and as close as possible to the terminals <\/strong>(5 minutes on foot). This is currently the easiest and, above all, least expensive solution to implement (\u20ac135m in 2008 for an above-ground station), which seems to be back on the tarmac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
