The <strong>RATP<\/strong> is also counting on <strong>\"Very disrupted traffic on the RER and metro lines\".<\/strong>according to the forecasts published on 17 January. Lines 1 and 14 will be the only ones spared by the strike. However, they are likely to be victims of their own success, with RATP citing a risk of saturation - and with several stations closed for line 1: Reuilly-Diderot, Bastille, H\u00f4tel de Ville and Champs Elys\u00e9es Cl\u00e9menceau. Concorde station will only be open during rush hour. The strike on 19 January will also result in the closure of <strong>pure and simple, lines 8, 10 and 11<\/strong>. RATP plans to have one metro in two for the <strong>line 4<\/strong> during rush hour, and only 1 in 4 during the rest of the day. RATP is also planning to close stations at Simplon, Barbes Rochechouart, Gare de l'Est, Strasbourg St Denis, R\u00e9aumur-S\u00e9bastopol, Cit\u00e9, Od\u00e9on, Montparnasse-Bienvenue, Raspail and Al\u00e9sia...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the rest of the network, the situation will be disparate... Namely:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Line 2: 1 train in 5 at peak times and only between Nation and la Chapelle.<\/li><li>Line 3: 1 train out of 2 at peak times and only between Pont de Levallois and Pereire.<\/li><li>Line 3 Bis: 1 train out of 2 at peak times.<\/li><li>Line 5: 1 train out of 2 at peak times and only between Bobigny and Gare du Nord.<\/li><li>Line 6: 1 train in 4 at peak times and only between Nation and Denfert. Station closed: Place d'Italie.<\/li><li>Line 7: 1 train in 5 at peak times Stations closed: Gare de l'Est, Cadet, Op\u00e9ra, Jussieu and Place d'Italie, Tolbiac.<\/li><li>Line 7 Bis: 1 train out of 2 during rush hour. Station closed: Place des F\u00eates.<\/li><li>Line 9: 1 train out of 2 during rush hour. Stations closed: Michel-Ange Molitor, Michel Ange Auteuil, Trocad\u00e9ro, Miromesnil, Richelieu Drouot, Grands Boulevards, Strasbourg St Denis, R\u00e9publique, Oberkampf.<\/li><li>Line 12: 1 train in 3 at peak times. Stations closed: Pigalle, Pasteur, Montparnasse Bienvenue, and S\u00e8vres Babylone.<\/li><li>Line 13: 1 train in 3 at peak times and only between Saint-Denis Universit\u00e9 and Saint-Lazare. Station closed: Place de Clichy.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Traffic <strong>RER<\/strong> will be particularly affected, and with it services to the Paris airports in particular... During rush hour on Thursday, RATP expects 1 train out of every 2 for both RER A and RER B. But the service will be limited to 1\/3 for RER B and even 1\/4 for RER A during \"off-peak\" hours. In addition, the interconnection will be interrupted at Gare du Nord.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/greve-10-novembre-journee-noire-ratp-20221109.html\/\" data-id=\"136121\">Strike on 10 November: a black day at RATP<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>According to RATP, there will be less disruption to journeys in Paris above ground, and the company is expecting <strong>2 out of 3 buses<\/strong> on average. Operations in <strong>trams<\/strong> should be operating at three quarters capacity, but RATP expects some disparities depending on the line. And it plans to provide further details on Wednesday, on the eve of the strike...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Forecasts for Marseille, Lyon and Bordeaux<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>France's major cities will also be affected. Like <strong>Marseille <\/strong>where metro line 2 will be interrupted for most of the day, while tram line 1 will be completely paralysed on 19 January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"167\" src=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/rtm-marseille-19-janvier.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-140645\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/rtm-marseille-19-janvier.jpg 700w, https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/rtm-marseille-19-janvier-300x72-derived.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption><em>RTM forecasts for the strike in Marseille on 19 January<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Lyon<\/strong>With the exception of line F2, which will be completely interrupted on Thursday, the metro and funicular networks will be relatively unaffected. The situation will be more problematic for the tramway. TCL expects a normal service on the T5, with the other lines running at frequencies of 10 to 22 minutes. With the exception of line T7, which will be disrupted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Transport <strong>Bordeaux <\/strong>M\u00e9tropole (TBM) is also expecting some disruption - particularly in the city centre due to the demonstration. On the high-speed lines, traffic will vary with <strong>1 TGV out of 3 <\/strong>on <strong>North and South-East lines<\/strong>, <strong>one in four <\/strong>on the Atlantic route, and even one train in five to the east of France. One in three Ouigo trains will run. Lyria TGVs are also affected by the industrial action, with services to Switzerland reduced to zero for Thursday. On the other hand, Thalys and Eurostar traffic is expected to be almost normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"wp-block-varenne-link-block\"><p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/greve-rail-britannique-20230118.html\/\" data-id=\"140599\">British trains heading for new strikes<\/a><\/p><\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, as far as regional lines are concerned, traffic forecasts are predicting 1 TER out of 10. It should be noted that while long-distance passengers will be notified personally of the cancellation of their train by text message or e-mail, TER users will be able to find an idea of the trains running on Wednesday from 5pm onwards on the rail company's websites and applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One flight in five cancelled at Paris Orly<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While most of the cancellations will affect ground transport, the French skies will also be disrupted by the strike on 19 January. The French Civil Aviation Authority (<strong>DGAC<\/strong>) has invited airlines to <strong>cancelling one in five flights in Paris <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/gare-orly-tgv-retour-20230110.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orly<\/a><\/strong>Air traffic controllers are joining the day of action. In an opportunistic move, the specialist in business centres and coworking spaces <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.voyages-d-affaires.com\/en\/interview-burckart-iwg-travail-hybride-20230103.html\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IWG <\/a><\/strong>intends to take advantage of this widespread strike to introduce its flexible workplaces to employees who do not wish to work from home.
